Sorry to hear that the phone has let you down again... are you running any 'additional' user added appliations on your phone ? or is it just standard apps as provided by new flash ?

The problems you had with vexed appear to be before the latest update of the firware you performed? (going by history of comments)
Is this problem still there ? perhaps just load Vexed and nothing else to start with.. then if thats ok move onto the next one you use most frequently etc.

i have vexed since r3a or something like that. it never crashed since last update. with vexed open i could navigate on internet, sens sms, make calls and then return to game but now i cant tap on the battery icon because it might restart or go crazy. can even change the song now.
100% is since r9ec firmware....

Well its been nearly a month since the latest crap firmware, I see that SE are NOT hurrying to get the next version out, wouldn’t it just be so nice if the next one would actually make the phone work as stated on the SE web site

Which particular issue are you having with the latest firmware ?
Is it something we can all reproduce ? Or is it just an isolated problem ?
Can you please provide some details ?

Does anyone have any input as to whether Blackberry Connect (BBC) 3.45 works with this firmware or not?

Thanks

haven't you read what have benn said before? i have most of all, multitasking problems. now i can't change tracks with a game open because the buttons and touchscreen stop to response, i can't tap on battery icon because it's possible to restart instantly in order to improve performance, once it happen to close the web browser with no reason and i have been about 50 hours on wap before and never had a problem...

Hi

I think we all need a software update for the M600i

current version I have got from official update process:

Phone: CXC162037 R9EC001
Bluetooth: CXC162058 R3A01
Organizer: CXC162058 R5B02
CDA: CDA162011/1 R5B02

Bugs I found so far:

1-Unexpected crashes on contacts and message management.

2-Contact images become corrupted upon contact edition. They look crappy afterwards.

3-Contact lookup fails for some contacts aleatory. An existing contact calls me and I see his/her number instead of his/her picture and name. Of course I cannot restrict or prioritize any call if the phone is unable to lookup the number from the contact information. Once that happen for a certain contact, I could delete it, recreate it etc, but his/her number will never be looked up from contacts list again. Only a full phone master reset will help with all data loss along and unfortunately for a while only.

4-After phone master reset the standard themes coming from factory software are lost forever and only the default theme and language remain. I can only recover them by downloading (on my phone expenses) via GPRS/3G - WAP from Sony Ericsson site.

5-The automatic keypad lock does not always work. Sometimes it locks after 15 seconds of inactivity.

6-Voice control data is not save on backups. So lost for ever every time a master reset happens. No worth the lost time to get it programmed as it is lost on the way.

7-Synchronization with Outlook Express results on Mobile Phone being entered as Home Phone and by times on Work Phone (Using the same address book it makes no sense, does it?)

8-Backup does not work when software failures start (normally after some hours of last full phone setup) and so I cannot save my data before a master reset has to be done. Next setup has to be done manually again. That is my current and annoying situation.

Please help me to push Sony Ericsson and Symbian to resolve ASAP the bugs with a new software release. I have even contacted the management board at Sony. I hope to get answers and commitments.

Many of these bags were posted in summer last years and never fixed after few software releases. Hereby some links:

Good review...

A thought though....

A few of the points all revolve around the the issue of 'Contact' handling. From your description of problems you state that you are using Outlook Express etc.
OL Express has some limitations, in that pictures , multiple numbers and other things don't make a good match in sync terms to that held by the phone, hence the problems I suppose.
I can appreciate that it would be good if it worked ok, but is this down to the phone or the sync software runing on the PC?
What version are you using ? I have 1.2.15 here (not sure if that is the latest.) and I sync with Outlook (2203 & 2007) both work fine and I don't have any issues with corruption of contacts etc.

(Having thought about this for a moment.. the above is not 'quite' true, in that I have a couple of contacts that want to sync up 'every' time I do a sync... I suspect that there is something wrong with the contact info somewhere, but have not tracked it down yet. No bother though.
.........Just checked the two contacts playing up... there were some data entries which were not right. Fixed them and sync is now fine. well it would be....... wouldn't it !)

Have you tried using OL to see if things get any better ?

Well according to simpsons world there is nothing wrong with any M600i its us the user, what simpsons should do is contact SE and tell them he has a fully working M600i, (even they wont belive him) send it to them they can get the firmware out of HIS phone put it on the SEUS and then everyone will have a phone just like the famous simpsons phone that works
