Found out this weekend, that an 11 year old girl where my GF's mom lives is pregnant. This is where we are at? It makes me think of the child love movement (freedom for paedophiles to do as they wish).
They live their lives like sex is just sex. Nothing special. Everyone should have it. Including babies. This is where we are at?
We live a life where everything that is precious, even the very air we breath, is taken for granted and treated with disdain. Like watching porn. It's all ok when it's a bit of fun, but just because it exists, someone looks at it and says, I'll do the same thing with my kids in it.
We take everything that is precious in this world and distort it. This is where we are at! It's not about culture. It's not about history. It's about respect. It's about treating something precious and fragile with care.
Why do humans behave like animals? How would we explain ourselves? Our actions? We can't. Because very few people care anymore.

The vid and pic sharing angle i don't necessarily agree with, not after what i heard yesterday, about a girl who attended my old high school. Apparently she and some guys got freaky, somebody with a camphone took a vid, it did the rounds and she committed suicide before her parents could find out about it.

This is ridicilous, (%$#$%%&en spelling) havin sex at that age(was it forced), my lil brother turns 12 in october, and it scares me, what does he know bout s*x? (dont like saying the word)
The mxit, i decide not to use, as i feel it is an unneccecery app, and yet i plan to make my own app like that one day.
On a lighter note, i am just about finishing the forum of my new community site, and i have an idea as to security of younger members, i want to know what you guys think.
I am using mobile numbers as login, the number you register with has got to be activated by sending an sms to a pre defined number, and since you need/are going to need an id document to buy sim cards, this will make things easier for the authorities to track members who cause trouble (perverted messages to minors etc) the sms to register your account must be sent from the phonenr you have registered with.
I know about the risks of this, as alot of ppl will
1) Not want to register their phone numbers,
and
2) Not want to send the sms to activate the number.
What is your views and opinions on this idea?

@786KBR: That new version of mxit sounds wicked...I'm only chatting to a few people on there...pic sharing is a cool.
@Siosal: We currently live in world that throws challenges at us from every angle, I've always maintained that the biggest failing of our current society is the ease at which we're relinquishing responsibility to the state instead of parents exercising their rights when they chose to have children...there's nothing the government could possibly have done to prevent that 11 yr old from having sex. Just my two cents.

@786KBR: hey man. Great to hear about the picture sharing in v5. Where'd you download it anyway? Have you tried the blog feature on ur k800i? Can't get it to work on my girlfriends phone.
If you guys don't already know VODACOM are finally offering a free e-mail address. I've set it up on my k700 and it works great. Btw k700 is 20 months old and still working great. Upgrade due in 2 months. Think i'm gonna get w850. W950 would be too expensive. |

@ 786KBR - Any chance you can forward the copy you have of MXIT v.5 to me?
@ Siosal - I agree wholeheartedly...I don't know if you were around when that guy tried to get us to sign up to SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) a while ago. I told the guy that if there is intelligent life out there, the key being, Intelligent life, the chances of them making contact with us is small...The smartest thing any intelligent form of life can do is to steer clear of the human race...just look at us...And it aint getting better....Comes down to what I said the other day about Europe: they are turning their hearts against God, opposing the church, and the divorce rate is exploding, and crime is increasing, and the muslims are taking over, and they ask "why is this happening to us?" ... Do the math, I say...

I'm of the belief that despite the fact that the bible teaches a number of guidlines for a happy life, people do the exact opposite on purpose. If you look at things like the 10 commandments, there isn't a single thing that one can say "eish, I don't know if I could stick to that". They are all EASY to follow (Except in certain extreme exceptions, that of Honour your father and mother). Now I wasn't born into religion. i chose it. And I proved for myself that God exists (thats a different story all together).
But even i can see that you don't have to be particularly religious to see that for the most part, the commandments are common sense. Don't steal. Don't kill. For lack of a better phrase..."Duh".
Even atheists disobey certain commandments (which is kinda confusing if you think about it). Why say "Jesus Christ" or For God's sake" if you don't believe or know either one.
Then you've got even easier things... like saying "Excuse me" instead of "huh" (thats a sound not a word people). People Cannot Be Bothered!
A bunch of hypocrites.
All my life I've wondered why I'm here. I don't fit in. I don't understand anyone. Never have. But I'm not unique in that respect. If you ask me, if someone (be it Aliens or Jesus Christ himself) stopped you (generalizing here) in the street and asked you to explain yourself or the world.... I'll be honest, I'd freakin cry.
We live everyday as if it's the last with the exception of tomorrow. We do not create. We destroy (yes I'm being harsh... think of it as a catharsis). And with everything we destroy we go deeper into our own abyss. Is it that hard to care about the things we do? I believe we are clay, and life sculpts us as we go. Sometimes life knocks off a chunk, others it smooths a groove, but in the end you end up as what you are spposed to be. Some choose to be magnificent sculptures.... Others become a pathetic pile of rocks. |

@ Siosal, i agree, and no, it is not a curse to think bro...I have friends who think, or at least explores a situation thoroughly before drawing even a tentative conclusion. I am lucky to have friends like this. My friend Jim that has been living in the UK says he rarely has any conversations with meaning there because the people there are shallow. Its all about how they got drunk and shagged a girl. Wow, how meaningful.
Life is tough, and we have to harden ourselves to cope every day. I know if I did not harden myself I would walk around crying all day long to the point where I would be useless to anyone or for anything. There is so much hurt and injustice in the world, and it will not stop. We have been given a free will to exercise on our surroundings, and what we do with that is up to us. We can exploit the people around us for our gain, or we can support people and help them get somewhere.
So which is the more noble? Some people choose to not adhere to these values, and that is their choice, but like I always say, just because I do not believe in gravity does not mean gravity does not apply to me. If I decide for myself gravity does not exsist, and walk off a building, I am going to have a close intimate encounter with the ground, whether I belive in gravity or not. I personally believe a lot of spiritual principles taught in the Bible. Now the weird thing, people who do not believe in these principles sometimes have similar believes, but they call it "Karma". Call it whatever, but these principles seem to apply to everyone, whether you believe in them or not, and no matter what you call them.
Okay, I am stopping here...once I get going, there is no stopping me...lol!

I agree completely and I myslef ramble on. I have to remind myself to come to a conclusion Everytime.
Most people read the bible and decide god doesn't exist. thats like seeing a tv ad and deciding that wimpy doesn't exist. Does noone realise that in 2000 years, not a thing in the bible has every been proved wrong? That despite the fact that miracles were performed in front of thousands, not one person stepped forward afterwards and said, that rubbish, it never happened.
That if you were caught writing religious materials outside of the governments (or ruling bodies) authorities you were put to death. Why risk it for fiction?
Yes, i do believe that what goes around comes around. Yes I also believe that we have a choice in life. Yet the one that requires more effort, is the one that is more fulfilling. Which is why, so many people are unfulfilled. Even after they get what they "want".
As Mr. Freeman said in Bruce Almighty:" Since when do people have the faintest Idea of what they WANT?"
Life is touugh on everyone. No matter who. Just some people handle certain things differently. My brother can handle the stresses of work, but could never go through what I have in my personal life. Rich people take drugs. Why? Because thay are lonely and unfulfilled. The bible restricts noone. It merely states the optimal means to living a fullfilling life. Nothing more.
And from what I have seen in my life... it's right.
I should be upset about the britons being shallow remark (I am one), but you are right.
Oh! And I discovered my vice. Milkshakes! LOL
*stops now and breathes*
