My K700 is at service alreadey
The bottom left diod for the buttons was flashing and very annoying so I had to send it in.
Hopefylly they send me a brand new one as promised, SE has a generous warranty the first 7days, that's very nice
Don't want to use my T65 for long now when I have bought my best phone ever... |

I know this is a stupid question. How do you guys know that your K700 is fully charged? Do the RED LED turn green?
Cos my screen did not turn off after the phone is charged and it still showed a "charging" message after 8 hours of charge (first charge) though the power bar is full.
Could this be like Z600 whereby it showed a "charging" message on the screen but the LED turned green (power is full also)? I know this is a firmware problem for Z600. But for K700 (see above)???
Could appreciate any advice here. Thanks.

I think that the red LED on the K700i acts similar to the LED on the T610/630. It only lights up when the phone needs to be charged (the battery is in the red) or when the phone is being charged while it's off. The LED does not turn green like it does on the Z600 (though it would've been nice if it did). |

I get no indication of charging in the phone. What is wrong?
With an empty battery it can take up to 30 minutes for the charging icon to appear in the display. Meanwhile the Red LED located behind the ON/OFF button will be lid, this to indicate that the phone is charging.
When charging icon appears in the display, the LED will be turned off.
This is from the site.

Totally agree with you - and it can't even be configured!

Hash does work the same way as holding clear on the T610 - but holding clear still works as well. Better than the nonsense of the unlock swap which is really frustrating at times.
That said, it is a truly great phone.

never knew you could do that with t610. just tried. i used to used right soft key left soft key.
anyone know what the cheapest way to get my pictures onto my MAC OSX from my k700 is? not email or picture messaging. oh and getting mp3s onto it from my mac. usb, serial, infrared, bluetooth etc.

but all in all I'm most worried about the battery life and the "2" key.
I'm hopin that by now some ppl will have done @ least 3 full charge cycles, so I can get more on that... |

i'm also intereseted in the battery life and would appreciate some feedback from the early adopters.
What I also want to know is, how did some of these issues people are reporting (presuming they're real) get through testing? The ones in particular I'm thinking of are the battery indicator and the rebooting after using the bluetooth connection. Either should have been pretty obvious after even a short period of use in the lab. So, to me that means that either:
1. The issues don't exist (i.e. are user error or unfamiliarity with the 'phone).
2. SE haven't bothered doing any testing.
3. SE aren't bothered that they've released a buggy handset.
None of these seem particularly likely to me, so what the hell is going on? |

on mine I can go to settings, shortcuts and configure the shortcut for each direction of the joystick (or navigation key as they call it)

I think it's a nice implentation (is that the word?). It makes it easier for the n00bs not to care about the different names of SMS, EMS, MMS and so on...
It's great to get the option to reply with an SMS to an MMS... |
