I'm really surprised that nobody has mentioned Hedvig yet, a prototype that never made it to market because the project was cancelled due to increasing costs.
The design brief was:
Produce a 'wow' phone.

/// commercial with comment...
'Overall, the service was excellent. The collaborative way in which the project was developed from the first briefing session was fundamental to the results that were acheived.'
'We were constantly advised and updated of key timings and potential problems in advance. This enabled us to ensure they didn't materialise.'
'The output was on time, on budget and on brief. You can't ask for more than that!'
'Qualitatively, the feedback from Ericsson has been great. They've been very pleased with the reproduction of the section of the TV advertising as a printed lenticular image. Feedback from the dealers themselves has been very positive, with the majority of both siting the display piece in-store and reporting that they felt it has had a positive effect on their sales of the Ericsson R310.'

A Note from the Sponsor
Ericsson Hellas, committed to the support of the cinematic activities in our country, finds itself again, for the third consecutive year, in the position of exclusive sponsor of the Athens International Film Festival - Opening Nights Ericsson.
Opening Nights Ericsson has already been established as an institution. Every year the Festival has an even greater success attracting an extended number of viewers and especially the younger ones. The event has been enthusiastically received by the wide audience as well as by the Mass Media. Ericsson has connected its name to the Festival by consistently supporting the event and contributing to the constant improvement of the organization. Thus, the renaming of the Festival into Opening Nights Ericsson has an essential meaning, since it expresses Ericsson's commitment to contribute to its constant upgrading and to offer an even better spectacle, approaching all cinema lovers.
Within this framework, the competition for the audience award will take place once again this year. The viewers will have the chance to express their own view and preference on the films shown. In this way, the audience is encouraged to participate in the Festival, actualizing Ericsson' s motto, "Your Voice Has Power".
The sponsorship of the Opening Nights Ericsson Festival constitutes part of the wider financing policy of Ericsson, which has as its aim to contribute to the quality of our everyday life, through a series of cultural, athletic, environmental and educational projects. Especially in the area of film, Ericsson has developed acute activity drawing near the wide audience. Within this framework Ericsson has connected its name with 18 film theaters in Athens, Thessaloniki and Volos. Ericsson' s aim for this coming year is to enrich its financing activity in the area of film, offering a variety of privileges to the audience through the family of Ericsson film theaters.
With the certainty that Opening Nights Ericsson will again, this year, constitute one of the most important cultural events of the city of Athens, attracting all admirers of the 7th art, Ericsson will wholeheartedly offer its support to the further development and promotion of the Festival.
