@ MG7
I am executing the program from the command prompt (start - run - type cmd and enter. then change the directories and launch it from there). if you just double click it it's not going to work.

Quick question about TomTom Traffic subscription.
I cannot get my P990 to connect for the traffic updates. I have wireless connection enabled in TomTom and my activsync can connect using a variety of different connections so I know the device can connect to the internet.
My P910 connected flawlessly and I have changed the device ID on the TomTom site.
I subscribed again just after Xmas but haven't been able to get it working.
Anyone had a similar problem and solved it?
The message I get is
"An error occured on your TomTom device. Please try again."
Any help welcome.

Just had some time to test Eastern Europe maps.
They are very very bad.
Practically unusable around Timisoara and Eastern Romania.

Hi Guys

Have tomtom running on my emasculated Orange 990i and it mostly seems to work well – with Swiss Pro helping things along.

A couple of queries.

I can't get my Apple Mac to see the phone when linked up by USB cable to tt Home.

Also, I can only program in the first part of the UK postcodes.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi.
I donīt know if this helps regarding the Tom Tom issue, but itīs possible see the P990 as a mass storage on a Mac. Check this link:

I have now had TomTom Navigator 6 for about three weeks and it runs runs rings around my wayfinder installation which will now go onto my W950i its 1000% better on speed cameras and traffic I wish I had not bought Wayfinder now but I had the P910i at the time and there was no clear decision on TomTom for UIQ3 then
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot.

Hi!

I am reading this thread from start to finish, and also searching...

but can someone tell me quickly, about battery life, if I was to go walk-abouts with a W950i and TomTom installed?

I know I can use my in-car charger whilst driving, and would do so.

It's the walk-about usability that I am interested in!

Thanks!

I think running TomTom while walking will drain your battery in 2-3 hours.

I have an M600i with TomTom Navigator 6 and I used it coupled with a bluetooth receiver from QStarz (BT-Q818). My battery lasted for 6-7h until it needed another recharge (lighting was at maximum), or better said on a 25h drive (France -> Romania) I needed to recharge the phone 4 times
What could I say...I'm happy with the performances. (the surprise though was the bluetooth receiver which did not...I repeat DID NOT need recharging).
Too bad though a reliable Romania map does not exist yet...
