Any1 here think this phone is a bit crap considering its a cybershot??

When i browse through pics they are blurry for 6seconds on 5megapixel resolution and when i view them on VGA resolution it takes 2 seconds. Any one else got this problem?

I have these problems also, but most SE phones I've had (W580I, W810I, K790C) have also lagged when viewing photos.

The question about the C902 being a dog is a valid one. It's a nice piece of equipment but it is definitely the most bug riddled phone I have ever owned. I think SE is using their customer base as beta testers instead of thoroughly testing before release.

Anyone tried using Sony Ericsson Layouts Generator (by Mr. Thunderbird) to remove their operators logo.

I have the software but not sure how to get the amended .xml file back onto my C902?

Had a few prolblem with my mobile so I ran the latest SE update. I've now tried to re install operamini 4.2 which worked fine before but now I keep getting a message saying

"Failed to connect to the Internet Verification of server certificate failed. Please check the data settings in your device"

Anyone have any ideas?

Try in Applications folder Options and then Internet Settings change to Default. Then in Permissions check the Trusted.

It might work.

So, how is it possible to update to R3DA032 from the 28 version? I try the automatic updater, but it keeps saying I have the newest version - when I check the phone, it says R3DA028..

Thanks!

Flarkit,

You could always debrand your phone but I'd rather not/don't know how so I got an edited layout_main.xml.

You should back up everything on your phone in case there is a problem and its probably a good idea to find the original layout_main.xml file so you can reinstall it should there be any problems (I'm sure someone here could point you in the direction of one of those.

You need A2uploader http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=177034&start=0
Your virus checker will probably report a virus but its ok, I use AVG and had to change the permissions to open A2uploader.
You may need to install the USBflashdriver which comes with A2uploader.
You then need the edited .xml file http://depositfiles.com/files/whk9plfpo. (the one I used)

Turn off your phone
Open A2uploader
Click File system tool button on the right
You should get a message saying "hold c and insert USB cable" (do it)
You will get info about your phone in the left hand window once you get this you can let go of C.
In the Right hand window you should see the file structure of your phone.
Click tpa, then system, then layout.
You should now be able to see the existing layout_main.xml file.
Just drag and drop the new .xml from the above link.
Click shut down FS manager.
Remove the battery from your phone, put it back in and turn on as normal The voda operator name across the screen should be gone.

By the way managed to sort out opera failing to access the net it was a problem with the date setting on the phone I'd not noticed that it was displaying 25/8/08 (gonna have to stop using that dark pic as my wallpaper).

Check the firmware post. R3EA037 just released in Germany.
Credit to "blerk" for the post through his friends.
