I have been having problems with the phone not sleeping correctly.I have been experimenting with the following firmwares:

"Rooted" R2BA020 / 23
Generic UK R2BA020
Global R2BA023

All of the above I performed a factory reset and the set the APN and correct time and left them over night to see the battery loss. All of them on average used about 40% battery in around 8 hours.

I have then tried R2BA023 Nordic and it seems to have cured my problems, the phone now goes to sleep correctly using the same test. So far its only dropped 2% in 9 hours and its now sleeping correctly.

@AndyD777 strange, but nice that NCB works as it should now that i finaly have the update.

first full load tonight. took it out of the charger 0600 and been texting a few msg and 2-3 short calls. the bar is full, that has never happend before, droped like 20% on the R1FB001 fw, it was stronger in the mid % range and when comming close to 20% tge battery draind faster again.

@Mano82 check Andy777s post, looks like the rooted fw fails in battery

so, how is the X doing these days?
And when is the 2.1 update and HD rec due?

I'm torn between the 4G and Desire, but it's sold out everywhere, and the Galaxy isn't doing anything for me, not feeling it at all!
I might just reconsider the X again, if an update is due and things have been generaly better with SW updates.

I can tell you at least 4 GPS applications that doesn't require on line mode to work:Copilot,Mobile Navigator, MotoNav, NDrive. All these work pretty good on my device witout 3g or any kind of wireless connection

I also had the problem of Playnow disappearing after the update and also had trouble with TrackID forceclosing everytime.

Found a solution to both these problems, with Playnow, just download OI File Manager from the Market, navigate to the 'system' folder, then 'app' and find the playnowarena.apk and playnowupdater.apk and install them both and then Playnow works fine afterwards.

With the TrackID, you simply go to Settings, Manage Applications, select TrackID and clear the data and cache and then it works fine again.

Personally, I still think the X10 looks much better than the Evo, Galaxy S or Desire. Not to mention I never liked the look of the Iphone either, let alone the new one. According to Boygeniusreport, one Iphone4 burst into flames and burnt the charger port.... I can't seem to put the X10 down.

Still nothing for voda branded X10, god they take their time, after the update for my orange branded version, the wait for the voda update is even worse, as I now know what I am missing.

I got updated to R2BA020 about a week ago, Indonesia region according to the service menu, generic. This is what I've noticed:

-Battery life isn't any better or worse.
-Speed seems about 20-30% faster depending on what application is running.
-New app 'Navigation' which is google maps turn by turn navigation.
-Camera is faster.
-Mediascape bottom icons are highlighted with a glow instead of a box surround
-The Chinese keyboard has changed but not much and not in a hugely meaningful way. Works the same as before.
-A app called VIVAnews was installed. I think it's local Indonesia news headlines. I can't understand it.

Changes seem quite minor all round. This VIVAnews thing I don't like looking at. Was hoping for a significant battery improvement, I get about a day and a half of normal usage out of it at the minute.
I have a dig bick
You read that wrong

it seems everyone id experiencinb different battery experiences. im on rooted 023. after my third charge the battery seems alot better. 48 hours, with some wi-fi, music, calls, txts etc. n it still wasn't dead had about 20% left. check your apps. and see whay services are running. i think this could be the problem.

Andy, strange matey, mayhe your phone was saying stop flashing me and abusonv me everyday. ha, flash it back, give it a few charges etc see whst happens.

The battery seems awsome with the 023 update. 9h online and on 92% (very little use daday thou) i am exited to see how it is when i use it more heavely like i normal do ( i am on a 24h workday and don't use the phone as much as i normaly do)

@kovle, Orka seemed to know more about gps-navigation software, check his post, and the EQ question i really don't know i just know and have read that there are players that have eq, i personaly have't needed any EQ yet, i am very happy with the sound from Spotify(streaming ap) and Mediascape with the mw600 bt headset.

google for android mp3 players with eq ?
