Here is a 1.59 MB version (with fewer colors). To get it any smaller I'd have to reduce the number of frames or colors or take away some of the animated elements.
Maybe the theme should come with a very small animated background (like just the ST emblem and one ship), and if someone really wants the large version, they can download and set the image as their background. Would that work?

| I don't think any true ST and K700i fan will not be angry to have a 1,5 MB theme ... the gif is greaat!! can't wait for the theme

Another small request (sorry for being so buggy ) ... I would like the United Federation of Planets insignia to come first (so swich it with the Starfleet Insignia).
Also, be carefull to re-brighten the circle in the bottom image. Also, maybe you can make the circle go through the template image on the "more" "select" buttons on the bottom (that appear sometimes). |

@merdoc:
I'll finish up the 3 versions first then come back to any other requests
@valentineer
the circle will be brighter at the bottom on the final theme, and visible on the other menus.
(I thought it would be done by now but my office is busy AND my refrigerator died! AND the new one didn't fit so we disassembled the door frame... just a few of the things keeping me from theme-ing )

numnums, laffen suggested a file of 220 kb which looks exactly the same as your 2.2 Mb file (tested on my phone!). Why not use that?
Also please make the switch. |

I'm guessing Laffen used Adobe Imageready or a similar program to optimize the animations - I just got it down to about that size: 255 KB animation for theme #2. |

@numnums,
You're the man! I'm looking forward for the completion of Theme #3. More Power!

I used Adobe ImageReady to reduce the size |

This is all fantastic.
I shall be getting very soon a T630 and selling my T230 off.
To download this do I just upload as I would a wallpaper then transfer it over through WAP Esato?
Thanks |

Theme #2
This is my first K700 theme and, not owning one myself, there's no way to test.. so please tell me if the menus need to change! The file size seems large at 437K - probably because of the standby image.
