i have t630 and as i said earlier i was not able to make it work then i borrowed my friends t610 phone and only had to create a data comm and a wap profile and i was able to successfully surf the the internet through webviewer using my pc's internet connection over an IrDa connection so jamshedd now you can safely say that it is possible to make it work over a IrDa link but the phone must be not be t630 otherwise it won't work and u get a message Cannot Connect to Server. If anyone has a solution for this problem let me know. tankx in advance.

Maybe I have to flash my T630 to a T610 to get this working, I also can connect to the device explorer using Irda or bluetooth.
It seems to me that the serialport handling in the T630 differs from the 610's.
Btw, when I don't fill in the IP address in the T630 (both data and wap profile) I still can make a connection to device explorer

You may be confused - a WAP browser is for browsing WAP enabled websites and is not a general HTML browser.
My instructions were for browsing regular HTML pages, and not WAP enabled sites. You cannot use your PC's internet connection for that without installing a WAP gateway.

@USB - you have to have gprs with html page viewing enabled in your gprs account, you have to contact your network provider for verifying that. Once you've done that, simply install the k700 modem driver from the CD which came along with the set, setup the gprs account in the mobile and create a new internet connecton in the pc and set the modem as k700

well what i did was
1) when i plugged in my k700 thru USB cable, it automatically detected my k700 and asked to install the drivers from the CD which i did so
2) next, i'm not sure what i did cause it was a long time back but i created a new dialup connection and selected my k700 as the modem ( i think there was an option to select which gprs profile to use for connecting, not sure )
3) when i selected connect on that dial up dialogue box , i saw the gprs icon automatically appear on my k700 but since i didnt have the html facility i couldnt use it, maybe some one else can help you there.
