The current plans changes for when they are to be released are as follows

£7.50 for 250mb (You will get a sms/email after 200mb of use to pre warn you that you only have 50mb left to use before you are charged
or
** £30 for 3.5gb

You can use the data on anything as far as im aware.

You can purchase a seperate **£30 Data tarrif i you just want to use data, but both of the tarrifs can be added on to the paymonthly tarrif.

** Just to Add on the above and for you to compare networks **
Browsing packs by network.

Orange:
£8 = 30mb for Web and Wap Browsing. Over this its charged £1 per mb
Voip/Peer to peer can currenlty be used however this is subject to change and availability.

Vodafone :
£7.50 = 120mb of Web and Wap Browsing. Over this its charged £1 per mb
Voip/Peer to peer is not included and charged seperatly at £2.00 per mb.

O2:
**New Tarrif when released**
£7.50 = 250mb Of Web and Wap Browsing over this its charged £3 per mb
Voip/Peer to Peer is currenlty included.
£30 = 3.5gb of Data
Voip/Peer to Peer is currenlty included.

T-Mobile (Web N Walk / Web N Walk Plus / Web N Walk Max)
£7.50 = ** Unlimited mb (Subject to about 1gb monthly usage)
No to Voip / Peer to Peer (Not included in the above plan)

£12.50 = ** Unlimited mb (Subject to about 3gb monthly usage)
No to Voip / Peer to Peer (Not included in the above plan) However You can use Instant Messaging

£17.50 = ** Unlimited mb (Subject to about 10gb monthly usage)
Every thing is included

3 is a little more complicated.
However If you dont have unlimited access with your currnet tariff, you can add it for £5.00 per month or £2.50 for 10mb
There are more options and depending on your Tariff which one you can and cant have. You will need to speak to 3 for more info or visit there website
http://www.three.co.uk/personal/products_services_/add-ons.omp

Hope all the above hlps and make sense

** The New O2 GPRS is still subject to change **

I would like to confrim that the O2 GPRS bolton's is going to be launched within the next 2 month's. What darrengf has said about the data options for O2 is correct. Got briefed about these options today at work.

@miss uk

Im not Sure what you want O2 to do about your data charges?

If you have used them, then they are going to charge you.

O2 are fully aware that there Data charges are £3 per mb. But if you knew you was going to use them, you could have purchased a bolt on.

Its not just O2, Orange also charge £3 per mb if you dont have a Bundle and so do Vodafone but theres is on a daily rate.

T-Mobile charge £1 per day if you use the GPRS. but again you can add a bundle.

I dont think o2 will do anything as in honest you have used the service.

Regarding 0800 , 0845 and 0870 numbers. O2 are charging from the 28th Sept. If you use these numbers in the past 3 months and have not been charged in the previous 3 months (They show on your bill as free) then you can cancel your contract early.

If you dont use them, then you cant cancel early as it doesnt affect you.

You only have until 27th sept to make your decision.

However o2 is the last to start charging for these numbers. All the other networks have charged for them about 2 years previous.

My whole point is for them to get with it and lower there prices of Data why should I be paying more then someone on "3" and "T-Mobile" it's not on..

Vodafone Charge £1 per MB now aswell!

making 02 the last!

Im still confused tho. You have a choice, If its expensive, dont use it. If you want to use it then you have to pay,

O2 are trying to gtit right with everyonr and there is no quick fix for this,

The other £1 a day have terms and conditions in them.

O2 allo you to use your data on anything, the others dont.

Im not sticking up from o2. Far from it and at last yes they are going to be cheaper.

But we all have a option.

3 has to win customers, so yes offering services eg gprs for free or at a lower cost then its good for them.

I like the o2 system where you get loads of sms when i can use them for notonly sms, but video, picture from the uk and abroad. To me this is cost saving and good value.

T-Mobile have fantasitc tariffs, cant fault the webn walk.

However i like o2 phones as there not branded (Or least branded) not locked. T-mobile coverage isnt that gr8 still in areas. I know. o2 never had a problem.

emails checking if they can't get to pc

ok I should've made sure my connections on myphone weren't on 02 however they were when I thought I was using wi-fi im just abit shockd at loading a o2 page has brought up these charges..

ideally 11MB should be less then £26
