Can anyone tell me if the threaded/conversation view is pre-installed on the C901? Or does this need to be added by modding? |

yup...this could gain via modding (but not an extreme way). Just scripting (customize_upgrade.xml) and it doesn't broke your warranty as long as follow right guidance.

Why don't SE make this conversation as a default view? Not everyone knows about this modding thing.
Besides, my C901 already has fastport problem now.

conversations view set as default in any region while other, for any reason didn't. (i dont know what the reason is...)
it is just a simple customization_upgrade.xml that you could add by yourself. if you want a script, please PM me your email & your CDA number (example below), and i'll send you your customize_upgrade.xml.
to know your CDA number please do this step:
Go to SERVICE MENU,on a stanby screen push:
Code:
| right * left left * left * |
|
enter service info > software info
browse until you found customization
see picture below.....a red mark circle is your CDA number.

I knew about this, just wonder why SE didn't make it default for ALL regions.
Regarding the threaded view, I knew how to activate it.
My C901 has had that before updating the firmware to R1FA035 and bum! A2 Uploader (latest version) can't recognise it anymore (or it was the Vista problem I don't know).

Friends I did not believe that in using the C901 camera module from SAMSUNG.
And I have written to support service Sony Ericsson.
That they were confirmed or refuted this information.
I received a letter in which it was written that my letter sent to the technical department to find out this information. And that response will be within 3 days.
And then came the answer. 
All these conversations about SAMSUNG were the big Gossip

yup...that's right, when i've opened file camdriver0.dat, its coding isn't same as like as SAMSUNG, but it was seems like as SONY (i've told Pakhusin few days ago via chat at GTalk). And I believe this module was from SONY.
K_Michael, could you translate those word to an english please...we didn't understand it for sure

I can read French, but i dont know what does the letter means... hehe..
I always skipped my French class when i was in school last time.. 
Yeah.. maybe it's Sony, i dont care.. Because i know i made a good decision buying a C901..

Interesting guys, I like follow until the truth reveal but compare pics between c901 and innov8 (claimed as best cam from samsung) it resulted in really close identical.
Maybe SONY module developed from early stage of Satio units or samsung module whatever, it's among top rate 5mpx camphone this day.

It is impossible to speak about the chamber module only if quality of photos coincides
I can tell one at C901 very worked driver.
Company Sony Ericsson in the phones Cyber - Shot
Uses company Sony modules. And this fact is confirmed. |
