Ok the difference between the C6903 and the C6943, is that the C6903 support High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) H.265* and the other one doesn't, don't know which market will get either or though
It's on page 18 of the white papers here

@MNX1024 - yah. i will have to look into tmobile when i get a chance. bit too busy right now to compare things and deal with switching. plus i don't have a tmobile lte phone to test out either. that's the other thing. i'll have to ask around with friends in the area who have tmobile lte phones and see what they say.

@funkadopest - ah ha. looks like there is a feature difference after all.

Lets hope there no random screen cracking like the Xperia Z, I've seen so many people complaining about this and Sony refuse to do anything about it and expect people to pay lots of money to fix a problem that is their fault:-

It's all over the internet and has happened to hundreds and thousands of people it seems.

Disgraceful by Sony and will give them a bad name and stop people from buying their phones.

I'm not a Nokia fanboy, this is the first Nokia i have had for years since the N82, thing is things like this put me off buying a Sony phone, why spend a lot of money to have faulty products then Sony blame the customers instead of blaming themselves for a design fault?

Also, it's not as if I'm making up lies is it? It's proven on all of those forums and if you type "Xperia Z cracked screen" in Google just look at how many complaints there are about random screen cracks, loads and loads.

If it happened to me I would go mad!

i've had sony phones since 2001. they've been abused from lots of use and have seen drops from all kinds of heights to even a time when it fell out of my pocket on a go-kart track and i didn't get it back until the race was over!

every time, my phone has survived and worked fine. The only time my screen ever cracked was when i took off the shatter proof film and i dropped it on some hard tile. do i blame sony for this? no. of course not. i screwed up, i took the film off and i dropped it.

as a company, sony can't say "oh sorry, we'll replace all your screens" because there is no practical proof as to why people are experiencing cracked screens. it could happen for lots of reasons from people dropping them, having it in their pocket and sitting or crushing it like i see SO many people do and thinking that they're doing nothing to aid in the cracking -- when they actually are. a 5"+ piece of glass is not going to be able to handle the pressure, no matter how tough it is.

now if all these forum posts were from people dropping their phone from short heights and cracks appear then perhaps it could be a material/manufacturing issue. if the posts were of people just finding their phone on the table, suddenly cracked for no apparent reason. sure. but from the ones you've posted, they've all had their phone in their pocket. sure, they might not think they did anything, but how do you know? the Z is not a small device. you can't stick it in your pocket and sit around and expect it to survive all the pressure on the GLASS (yes it's glass, not a block of wood). I don't even do that with my XS now and it's smaller than the Z. Why? because I think about it and I don't want to crack the screen.

As someone who has had sony phones for a long time, I can assure you they hold up to a lot of abuse and still keep ticking. but when it comes to the Z and Z1, glass is glass, and it should be treated as such. Even apple with the MULTITUDE of screen cracks won't replace screens for free and only after years and years of complaints did they implement a replacement program, but still charging $150.

it's not a chronic problem. no company is perfect. we've all been hearing of galaxies exploding, galaxy s4 actives drowning, and iphones electrocuting people. these don't mean that they're major problems. they are isolated. they can't be completely avoided.

since it didn't happen to you it's quite obvious you're just trying to look for defects in the z1. don't worry. defects will likely appear as soon as the device gets commercially released. just don't expect it to be so widespread to cause sony to stop producing smartphones and sell its mobile division.

@EvilHomura89 - from what I can understand, it's comparing the Z1 and the G2 screens. It says at an angle, the Z1 colors seem to show a white-ish hue. Most notably, the person says that the Z1 uses a Triluminos VA LCD and not a Triluminos IPS LCD like the Z Ultra.

for those who don't know - VA means Vertical Alignment. take what you will from it.

^^ I have to say, It's not your fault to be that anxious, I know that feel when you want your device to be as faultless as possible. I think you can wait for a while and see if such issue persist before making your purchase decision.

Let's refrain from labelling anyone who post negative things about the Z1 as fanboys/haters, there's a big difference between the trolls who plainly post stuffs just to poke fun and derogate Sony and those who are looking for answer/assurance to a certain issue that they deem problematic enough to cause bother
