@randomuser: new Xperia Tablet or WP8 devices??
@vivftp: I don't think they will make Vita OS Devices soon, they might have to wait for the PS Mobile to gain momentum and have sufficient amount of apps and games for it before they strike with a new OS
For now developing Android (maybe WP8?) is a better option together with the PS Mobile |

Yeah I know... I'll continue to dream about a Vitaphone for now I suppose. The public SDK for PSM doesn't go live until November so we might not see the public publishing games there until the early months of 2013.
A Windows phone is possible, but recent interviews with Sony higher ups seem to indicate otherwise unless of course they were remaining tight lipped.
Ok randomuser... I know you likely can't give us any specifics, but is this something else mobile related, or regarding some other type of product?
If it isn't a phone, what else could it be? They just put out the Android tablet and the VAIO tablet will be out in November so what other type of devices are there for the mobile space?

No guys, all I meant was that at CES a different phone will be shown which is slightly less impressive than Odin. There is no Vita phone planned as yet.

Yes As an overall package it will better the S4. I do not know about the CPU the GS3 will use so maybe S4 could be faster than Odin in CPU speed. So all in all Odin and S4 will be equal. And then in 2H S4 will get destroyed by Sony 2H flagship
So yeah at least 3 flagship phones next year. One(Dogo) for Q1, Odin for Q2, and "X" for Q3-Q4

@randomuser,
S3 have five versions, 3 with the Dual Core Krait ( Snapdragon S4 ), the others have a Samsung A9 QuadCore cores...
I guess if Samsung wanted to update, it might go for Dual A15 as they're working on it... I find it hard for them to go for Quad A15 at this moment, even for S4 time release ( mid 2013 )... as the Dual A15 is not yet released in the market !!
Maybe the Quad A15 will be for Note 3
but I'm sure that Dual A15 will beat the Dual Krait, but Quad Krait will beat the Dual A15
At least in non-real world software, Software must be multi-core optimized to benefit the Quad Krait...

True Xajel, there are rumors saying the S4 will use Quad A15 but that really doesn't make sense. Most probably it will use the Exynos 5250 clocked absurdly high maybe around 2.5 ghz. GPU wise it will be on par or better than Adreno 320. CPU wise S4 quad will be slightly better.
But then Samsung wouldn't wanna risk it using a dual core chip when everyone else will use Quad S4. So most probably it will use both S4 Quad krait as well as Exynos 5250. Samsung hasn't even announced a cortex A15 based quad core, so Exynos 6 won't be out until at least late Q3 2013 or Q4 2013.

after apple A6(dualcore with own Architecture) maybe samsung move to dual A15 (or Quad if they can) with mali604 or better
it seem mali604 better than adreno 320 and samsung always try to use better gpu against other
and samsung dont use quad s4 , because samy always want to be different

I think GPU is a big factor specially for Android as high-end Android phones uses much higher resolutions than other phones ( specially iPhone ) but still the A6 GPU is the crown in GPU performance !!
Qualcomm, Samsung, ARM, ST-E, Imagination Technologies all should work harder to bring higher performance GPU's... they have the higher as Apple uses Imagination Technologies PowerVR designs after all, but they know how to easily optimize everything...
I heard somewhere, sometime that if a company worked to design an SoC specially for Android it can be much much more power efficient than anything else in the market, they can optimize it to be even like 100% more powerful than current designs without going to more power !!
I hope ARM, Samsung, Qualcomm, ST-E and Imagination Technologies works on such a concept to tweak the design... Google must participate more as changing Software is much easier and cheaper than changing hardware !!...
I hear that Google is already working on project roadrunner which will provide more power optimization to Android..

Well we are not completely off topic here. The discussion has to do with Odin
And also, we got nothing better to discuss due to the lack of rumors lately

AFAIK yes. Unless the Xperia Nexus is a really well guarded secret. |
