I'm now looking for a phone for £60, or a few phones. I've decided now also to include non faulty phones, as they seem to sell for a lot more on Ebay. So I'm going to incorporate into the experiment the difference between buying phones here on Esato, and seeing how much (if anything) they go for on Ebay. Of course, I'd only be interested if the price was right, otherwise I'll stick to faulty fixie-uppies.
So, let's hear what you've got!

I see the 3230 has been brought back to life
Just curious mate, how well is the project doing? How much have you currently made?

So far there's £60 from the K700i (though I'm slightly worried the buyer might pull a fast one and try a chargeback!), and I currently have a pristine condition Nokia 6100, and a very good condition 3410 to sell - so if they sell for typical Ebay prices, I should be pretty close to making £100!
Shame I didn't incorporate that 3230 into the experiment, that has the potential for a lot of profit! A new screen, and a cheap but geniune facia made the phone look like it had just come out of the showroom, I was kinda reluctant to sell it, but I can't hold onto all the phones I have, need the money and I can only use one phone at a time!

Knew it was one of you two!
@kk - if you mean the one that had a lock code on it, still got that, cleared the lock code and it works fine!

Yeeeeeeep that's the k700i I was on about
Like I said I should be getting a few more phones this week, if they're cheap like the k700i you can take those free (Anything to help ) or newer models will be at VERY discounted prices!

@miss uk - not sure if that S55 is beyond me, especially if it's a firmware issue, that's a bit of an 'achilles heel' for me!
@cyrus - will pm you

Updating Siemens phones is a piece of p*ss a kid could do it
it's less stressful then using SE Update atm I tell ya tha
btw I dunno if it is just the firmware it could be needing a new screen!
the phones a yr old, CPW replaced everything inside (Mainboard etc)
I think I paid under £80 for it to be repaired!
