News flash: there is a hidden red LED next to the fastport. I haven't seen this mentioned before and the manual (of course) doesn't say anything about it. It's flashing at low battery level. Oh how I wish for another, say green, LED at missed calls.

All I'm getting is this:

The GPS receiver is connected to the phone, but receives no signals.

..which is very annoying. So is my GPS broke? It detects satellites but can't lock on, so I presume it works at least, because it can find them. But why can't it lock on? Is it not powerful enough? I'm just confused!

Well, I share your confusion and will be searching to find a solution. Maybe the firmware isn't that rock solid after all?

On another note, I have this far found the reception during calls to be less stellar than on my previous phone. Today I lost signal all together (city centre) and had to reboot to reconnect.

It could be a firmware issue... Seems like the GPS... has an issue locking onto the sats...

Best to give SE a shout...

I cant get the Way Finder to work as it comes up with an error message saying cant connect to the internet, error 1:501. I have the correct internet settings through WAP as I can use 3G web browsing, configured the application to use the WAP settings. Also I can download the WF v8 software and that is working fine for the 5 day trial, however would prefer the 3 months free - but it wont work

I'm on Vodafone, if that helps

So I started up Wayfinder at home with my WiFi and that worked, went downstairs and got in the car and the C905 found the satellites, and I had the GPS follow my car, I only got one green dot though, not three. I think it does have trouble locking into satellites, it took at least 25 minutes on the way home before it was locked in. I could follow my car but it would not do routes giving me that stupid internet error again even though it was downloading the maps fine.

ooooooh!

On my way back from the all night garage, I thought I'd give it a bash seen as it was a very open area, and wahay! Up and running! It found about 10 satellites no problem, and then gave me turn by turn directions home over my bluetooth car stereo! Nice.
And now it's found those satellites once, it finds them all again double quick, even indoors look;

This from the GPS system that could only find 2 before! You just have to go through the pain of getting that first connection I suppose. I have A-GPS turned on as well to help.

Battery life is as to be expected. Not the best in the world, but sufficient. Heavy use of everything will see it dying at the end of the day. As hungry as high-end phone would be I guess, N95 territory.

And no, this is no K850i. I bought that hunk of junk on the release day and knew within 48 hours it was crap! This phone has been perfectly stable, and well behaved.

Good to hear. About battery life, I usally charge my phone everyday so as long as it can last a day with about 1hour worth of playing java apps then I'm happy

Plemix has put the proper contents of the phone and a review up now
enjoy:

What a fantastic phone! I got a Voda UK branded C905, used Davinci to flash it to generic Western Europe and what a difference....everything works much faster.
Added a new data account for Voda UK internet ( using APN: internet...and everything else blank) and am using that for all connections - internet and streaming. Everything works great including Wayfinder, which refused to connect on the old Voda WAP data account. GPS does take some time to connect to satellites first time...about 15 minutes for me...but after that it's 30 seconds maximum - as long as your outside. And WiFi is very straightforward.
Build quality of the phone is good...no slide wobble on mine that you'd notice. And photo quality is the best I've ever had from a mobile phone. The camera fuctions - hardware and softrware - are very intuitive and easy. It's good to have all the camera buttons you need along one side of the phone.
I thought it might be a bit bulky...but it's not...and it feels nicely solid.
If you've been thinking about getting a C905...go ahead...you won't regret.
Saying that, I've only had mine for half a day, but I'm confident I'll continue feeling like this about the phone
