It's only £499 from play.com delivered. I currently pay £10 a month for my T-mobile contract with unlimited 3G. I never get the "free" or "subsidised "handset deals, I much prefer the much lower line rental when you negotiate a renewal without a new handset. I think I win out in the long run. Incidentally at Play they have all the other features listed pretty much spot on as far as I can tell and they say it has an accelerometer.
Yeah someone should really tell Play.com that the X1 does NOT have an accelerometer! It's a bit misleading.
I'll try contact them about the accelerometer.
p.s can't wait until the x1 falls into my hands.
I'm amazed how many people, and companies, still believe the X1 has an accelerometer. It's stated on Play.com, Phones4u, etc. Still, most of them don't seem to know their a**e from their elbow! lol |

Well they believe... What can we do about that. Our job is to say it hasn't got accelometer and that's it.. Anyone can believe what they want now. That's what I would say.

I thought the X1 had an accelerometer in it....yall mean to tell me it dosen't really have one now...(Im kiddin...ok bad joke, I know)
I had to say it....Heck, I needed another post under my belt and I didnt have anything else more creative to say about the X1. I think we all have exhausted all our resources and material about the X1 and bascially sitting in waiting mode for the Fedex man or whoever to arrive at our door step. Im stir crazy waiting on this damn thing.

Well reading all this thread will give you almost all (if not whole) info available for X1... Now only thing we need is to buy the phone itself (for those who plan of getting it). I guess then firmware and applications related stuff will begin.

Mine is (suppose) to be shipped on Oct 6th overnight...so Im (suppose) to have it on the 7th. But who knows...im anticipating another day(s) or week(s) delay so that if indeed it does showup on the 7th i'll be suprised. It sucks I gotta plays these minds games on myself. Some people would call that crazy...Well hell, I did spend a grand on a cell phone so I guess I am crazy. |

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know whether the X1 will have improved phone functionality compared to other WM devices like the TYTN. The one thing I miss since dumping crappy PXXX series over to HTC devices is the fact that the Pxxx phone functions where really good.
e.g... the "edit before call function is missing" so you cannot edit a contacts tel number temporarily to add a country prefix if you are abroad without having to change the number and store in your contacts.
This is one of the reasons im looking forward to going back to SE as all my previous phones have had this function as well as others
Any ideas? Or is this just not posible with WM?

There is no accelerometer, it has a dedicated rotate button

Thought the rotate button was in doubt as well? Some people claimed they couldn't see any rotate button on the proto sets. |
