I don't understand al this talk about viewing angles. Reviewers complained about "poor" viewing angles on the Xperia S. Its not something I have notice in the 10 months ive had the phone at all. screen quality was the main reason for sticking to Sony that time despite the non user replaceable battery and non expandable storage. The reason I did not wait for the s3 then was the ugly touchwiz interface and oversaturated screens. Besides who views a phone from an almost 180 degree angle?
Looking forward to the H2 flagship, just a shame im going to miss out on the info in the chat |

Regarding the viewing angles:
I prefer to have as little viewing angles as possible. It has to do with something called privacy. This way the champ sitting next to my table cannot see what i am doing/viewing on my phone. To me color distortion and fading is much appreciated for any angle above +-50 degrees.
Great point actually!
Integrated battery complaints is the same stupidity. None ever complained about iPhone having non-removable battery ever since iPhone has been introduced.
I don't agree on that one. Non removable battery is a legitimate objection, especially for people like me who tend to buy flagships and upgrade them every 2 years. After a year/year and a half, I will have a phone with cca. 60% battery capacity and no way to resolve that problem. I don't care that people didn't object that to the Iphone! If I was buying an Iphone, I would object it. Period.
@buns; no info on the 2H screen as of yet.

So why can anyone dare to make it a "-" for any other touchscreen phone? Simply they are just marking these as negatives.. even though in real life, none cares...
This is a terrible argument, just because the iPhone does something does not make it a good decision.
Edit: The tradeoff is simple: a non-removable solution often allows for a larger battery, while a removable solution allows for a longer lifetime for the device. Both are good reasons for different people.

I have to disagree with you on the fact that you will have 60% battery capacity after a year. Most of the batteries are rated to retain 80% capacity up to a certain number of charging cycles. Some manufacturers will provide the numbers of cycles and some will not. My laptop battery is rated to retain 80% of capacity after 1000 charging cycles.
A lot of mobile batteries are rated at 500 cycles.
If you charge your phone every day it should retain at least 80% capacity after 18 months.
The battery will get weaker over time but for the first 18 months you should not have any problems with it.

Some pretty good leaks... Dunno if I can recap for you publicly so I will keep quiet. If RaMu says it's ok to share our info then I can inform you no problem.
@DACHA; wasn't LG's Optimus G selling point that it has a battery that looses capacity after 800 recharges unlike rest of the smartphones that endure 500 recharges?

Also LG will be incorporating a 13 megapixel camera with the Optimus G and will use a new battery technology which will offer up to 800 recharge cycles to the device as compared to 500 recharge cycles offered by most smartphone these days.

http://www.xperiablog.net/201[....]-segment-unlikely-in-our-view/ i just saw this and what do you think? will Sony abandon the low end market or will they continue on the track like they did with Tipo and Xperia E? IF they abandon that segment would it be a bad or good idea? i think it would be bad!! |

Sony always stood for quality with priceyness so it would be natural for them to (re)become sort of a elite (Apple like) brand.

I think they will still make lower end phones like the J. I'm guessing they will be ditching only the very cheap entry level handsets.

I hope Sony is considering this technology;

I wouldn't mind paying extra 100 euros for this. |

Seems like a good idea to ditch the low end. Purify the Xperia Brand |
