I would wait for 810 SoC, just H 265 encoding is enough reason for 4K video recording. GPU should be more capable and I would guess that most flagships would be on 2560X1440 screen by then. |

The Xperia A2 comes with a matte plastic back as opposed to the glass back in the Xperia Z1 f.

I still hope this is just a Z1 Compact variant and not the successor. If not, the only positive thing about it is IMO that they have reached the end of the bigger screen race. Otherwise the 4th Compact would probably sport a 5" screen  . They should only increase the screen, if the length can stay under 130 mm or else there is nothing compact about it...

yes, OLED with white magic is a good option.
they can introduce a "resolution downscaling" feature that would transform the 1080p resolution to 720p by not lighting up some pixels. |

1080p might actually mean they are sticking to 5"-5.2" screen size. Not sure about this one tbh. Unless they are really doing Z ultra 2. First one wasn't a hit at all and it seems like they are trying to get rid of them with big price cut makes me kind of doubt that there will be a Z Ultra 2. They probably will continues that 6+" with low end line up like the T Ultra. |
