First timer here while searching a reason why my Xperia Z has began draining battery after 4.2.2. -> 4.3 update

With 4.2.2 battery used to drop 1-2 % over night. Airplane -mode, Stamina mode off. After 4.3 update draining with the same setup is constantly 9-11%.

On very moderate usage during the day I used to have 50-60% left after usual workday. Now it's more like 30-40%, so same amount of draining in idle state than over night. Same setup but wifi on and Stamina off - just as before.

How could I check which app is using the battery in Airplane mode over night?

I haven't tried factory reset just yet. I'll go that road if the reason is not found otherwise.

If Android OS is the main source of your battery drains, it seems like the only way to fix it is to do a Factory data reset.
After doing a data reset, today was the first day since I updated to 4.3 where the phone hasn't drained any battery in standby.
It was a case of 3rd time lucky for me.
The first update from 4.2 > 4.3 via SUS, the wifi and bluetooth broke.
Second time after doing a repair on SUS, Android OS kept the phone awake and I got absurd battery drain
Third time it seems to be running fine.
We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

The phone has been working flawlessly now. Zero issues with wakelocks.

Well, with factory settings restored there was 2% drain over night with flight mode on. So that was a great improvement.

Restoring the phone back to my "own state" is another thing. Didn't realize that apps won't be backed up... Well, it was about the time to do some cleaning anyways. Let's see how the next night goes as a test phase after I've restored the apps also.

Doministry: update needs to be done via PC with Sony PC Companion. Otherwise it won't notify anything

Status update after apps installed and new backup restore: 2-3% over night, so that was the solution for this. Although I left a bunch of apps uninstalled, so could have been one of those also.

Doministry, on some other forums people haven't realized that version upgrade needs PC. So nothing personal . Sorry for your situation in Poland. Hope you get your update soon.

Updated. So far ok.
I just hate they made the homescreen settings toggles white
instead of the black transparent ones. Now they look bad.
The calculator is worse too. Most of the other things are better.
