Oh and btw the IFA press conference is a Sony Group press conference. Sony Mobile will also be a part of the event of course but there will be Sony Tablets as well  And a lot of other exciting new products including a new Flagship Bravia.

I am also confused... was so hoping for that premium feel from the metallic backover and slim appearance for mint  to me the screen size looks very close to that of the S3 which would mean the rumoured 4.55... and now they are stating 4.3....
Not really sure what to believe and will just wait for announcement including official pics. I am also not blown away by looks but I know MR will make all Sony's look bad.

definitely not as sexy as the GX, but will wait for official photos to make a more conclusive decision, though it doesn't seem likely that it will change. GX is pretty damn sexy.
@randomuser where'd you see that it has 4.3" display? xperiablog says 4.6"?

MR have got this wrong. Look at the side-by-side pics with the GSIII, there is no way that the Mint is 4.3-inches versus 4.8-inches for the GSIII. |

In any case, I would really love some official timelines for when to expect a release. As much as I would love to wait until H2 2013 for a true Sony flagship, I don't think my X10 will last that long and the frustrations of using it now are weighing on me.
It'll be GX or Mint for me... we'll see which one I can get my hands on for the best price! I would love LTE, but it's not critical for me. With more people moving to LTE, the 3G network will be less crowded and speed will increase anyway so it's not an issue.
I'm thinking GX at this point, based on pictures I've seen. Design wise, it blows anything out there out of the water in my opinion. LOVE IT.

Thanks, a little disappointing though considering the Galaxy S III has it and Sony showed a concept Xperia Neo at CES this year with it, Mint has everything it needs to make it work (i.e. MHL port)
Will have to wait until the announcement and see what happens. |

Update: There seems to be some confusion over display size. Mobile-Review has incorrectly stated that the Sony LT30p has a 4.3-inch display. As we have mentioned above, the handset will sport a 4.6-inch display, this is verified by our own trusted sources.

Where are the better cam/screen/sound and build quality from Samsung instead only focus on the quad-core?
