The perfect phone? |

Well many may laugh but I'm still perfectly happy with my SE W960i.
Decent camera for work related snaps (with LED light)
Great balance of size, weight, battery life.
Best mobile phone music player after the iPhone (Better than Phone in some respects)
Decent PIM functionality
Perfectly adequate web & mail functions
Tough little thing. Still don't have any marks/dents on mine.
Totally reliable (never crashes)
Runs TomTom satnav with external BT TomTom reciever.
Still not won over to WM phones and had an iPhone but still went back to my W960i.
Saying all that, I'm not into needing movie recording or playback (though movie playback isn't bad considering 2.6" screen).

I would be very happy with my old P990 if I could have it upgraded with:
1. Double the RAM to 128MB
2. Latest UIQ with the same media player as in the G700/G900 phones

From all the phones that i've used which include nokia 3650, 7610, n73, SE z200, k700, s700, k750, w810, p990, w610 and g700, i love using g700 because of uiq3. It has the most stable version of uiq. Add to that a dpad and softkeys, the user experience is gr8. But apart from the ui, there is nothing ground breaking about it.
For me, the most perfect phone would be the 1 which has a gr8 user interface along with a very powerful hardware. As uiq is dead, my next favourite os is wm which needs an upgrade in terms of ease of use. My perfect future phone would mostly be an xperia with almost the same dimensions and formfactor as x1 with 5mp cam with good image quality( AF and led flash is a must) and snapdragon or nvidia tegra chipset. Add to that wm6.5/7 and 480p video recording, tv out, accelerometer, proximity sensor and all the other features of x1 and that would be a perfect phone for me. |

My idea of a perfect phone is a simple, small, light device with very minimal buttons and display, a very clear sound, holds a signal very well even if it's relatively far from a cellsite, efficient/intelligent voice recognition for voice dialling, ample amount of memory to hold a lot of contact and a perfectly optimized power supply that allows for 24 hours continuous talk or 6 months standby. Text messaging would be a welcomed bonus!
A solar charger would be nice to have as an accessory too if it's not already built in the phone! |

@Aivar: That post caught my attention too...
For me, the perfect phone would be a W995 with office document viewer and at least VGA recording capabilities.. |

Perfect phone? SE Idou with a 5MP camera and LED flash. 3.2" screen. Or a SE 5800 with a 5MP camera. And make it a little slimmer. And a good price point a notch over the 5800.
I don't want a signature anymore. |
