I would like to see you actually do something useful doing that. The screen is way to small to even view web pages. |

I hope it will be possible to upgrade the firmware in the t68i to include the t300 features, I feel like sonyericsson cheated me! I had a t68 then then t68i came out and now the t300 all in quick sucession, it's hard to keep up! |

Yes, I agree. Difficult to keep up with technology, not everyone has a million dollar checking account. |

T-300 design for youth. T68i is for professional user. they have both different market need. so u can't compare T-300 and T68.
and for T68 n T68i. T68 is originally from Ericsson. T68i is an upgrade version for T68 after sony merge with Ericsson. so for all the model they have. it serve a purpose

One of the Motorola IDEN handsets has Java with 300K. Also, new SIM cards run a variant of Java (JavaCard), so the T68's memory is not an issue.
Also, have you noticed that compressed flash files for both processors on the T68 are something like 3 MB, whereas the phone has 8 MB+2 MB of flash? I doubt it takes 4 MB to store the addresses... |

Today i went to my local SE service point in the Netherlands,
and i told him about a possible update with java (that i read it here)
and he said to me that SE hasn't informed him about it, he didn't knew anything about it..

Hey this is not possible like i don't know whether you people know it but even when you use *.gif's on the phone its soooo slow and yeah. so you could never play java games on the t68 nor could you store much stuff on cause of little memory. But with the polo ring tones thats imposible due to hardware and the java could be but yet the speed (thus hardware of the phone is too slow for it). I spoke to a SE repairer and he told me it would like be running windows XP on a 486. its possible but to slow and yeah. |

before having java... they should increase the memory first and to be more enjoyable increase also the color depth... that i think will blow the 7650 off!

What would you drooling people do with a Java enabled phone?
I remember some friends of mine hasted to upgrade their Siemens SL45 to SL45i version. -"For just having the latest!" They never used the function in the phone...so sad. I have to go with "c96sthl" on this one... Can't see a real use for Java apps in cell phones today. Wake me up again when the operators and service providers get their eyes open.

Hold on a minute. There should be no license-fee for SE if they developed the virtual machine and supporting software themselves.
If they used software from sun - that is a whole other question because then they would reselling the work of sun.
If they themselves made T68 run java code there would be no license fee involved at all. |
