Nice that you agree with me on most of my thoughts. But my PERSONAL opinion is that most of the people that have R1N firmware have problems with their phones. The phones have the same hardware and therefore should be affected in the same way, well almost anyway, since software is almost a "living thing". And some people maybe a lot of people just observe the fact that the phone doesnīt seem to work that good anymore and then prefer to wait for a better firmware ,rather than start raising hell as i do hehe.

Off course there will come a much better firmware but iīm one of those that is impatient and want my phone to work perfectly instantly. Or at least work as good as R1L did. Thereīs absolutely nothing wrong in just wait for a better firmware, that will soon come, rather then complain and stir things up (as i do, hehe).

Well, well i see now in one post that there are people that have upgraded their firmware or have bought a new phone and they donīt have any problems with their phone. (Donīt know if they have noticed the issues yet with the light sensitivity with the camera or the crappy sound on the mp3 player on low volume) But i still have my opininon that there are many of us that do have issues with their phones after upgradeing the firmware. (I have written to several)

By the way: Congratulations Dan_Aykroyd! Thatīs how itīs done! I wonder i can get the same results here i Sweden. I have also sent SE a letter regarding the firmware. Did you get a new phone with R1L firmware? Sorry iīm up late so i might have missed that.

Dan_Aykroyd why dont u take the reply screen shot and upload it ?

victorh017; I didn't mean that SE don't have any employee's in Latin America, only that there are none working in Service Centers or other places dealing with returned phones.
As You write, SE are even producing units in Latin America.

fullforce; There are of course more than one bug corrected in every new firmware release. Some are more noticeable than others.
I'm not familiar with Your problems with R1N035, only the MS problem. I haven't heard anything about camera or MP3 playing problems.
Reason for not going back to a previous firmware can be many. There may be hidden things you don't notice, but your network operator do, or it can be related to small changes in hardware.
Also a reason can be that not many people are affected. You'll properly say that there are several people here having the problem, but remember, people active on a forum like this aren't very representative.
If most of the people would have major problems, resulting in returns, it would be catastrophic. Returns costs!

Dan_Aykroyd; I can only congratulate to your new phone and headset.
But again, the problem is well known, and W800/K750 aren't developed in USA...

Well, I know the phone isn't developed in USA since it says something as "Built in Malasya" or something like that; he only say that he'll send the the bulletin to a server / supervisor / something in USA for programmer to be checked; I don't know if they ARE located in USA or where.

Then, if you don't believe me it's up to you; do you think I will take all this time to make this "fairytale"; wondeful story?
Sorry, but just fu*k up.

And yes, the phone I got was an 'old' one with R1L002 in it

well i think that the people here very well could be representative customers to SE...and why not?

Hm if one check this forum then one can see that the issues that i have with my phone isnīt unique at all.

And once again: I just made a comment about what SE call center said to me- that is that they hadnīt heard about that the new upcomming firmware would fix anything else than the file corruption bug. I didnīt say that the new firmware wonīt fix other issues.

Well, after reading that elaborate finale, (them wanting to send a taxi and all that) I tend to agree.
It got too "Delia Fiallo" * for me. I can believe, for instance, that they decided to replace the phone. But the rest seems unbelievable considering how impersonal these big companies have gotten. I don't think a CEO is gonna take the time to sit and have coffee with every customer that complains. Anyway, congratulations on your new phone.

Dan, I can't believe you tried to update again after they gave you an R1L phone

I don't think you can hold SE responsible now, you just have to live with it untill they fix R1N

Still, you scored a cool gift, so atleast your ahead (sort of). And respect for getting them to listen dude

Wow... of course! Read the whole post for god's sake!!

I'd... although... I wonder, sometimes... at night... "if I updated it... would it be one of the small amount of phones that works fine?"

Think i'll have to find out... wondering too, since I won't upgrade it!

By the way... what I miss from the latter updates (besides the unfamous bugs) is that the megabass didn't corrupted the sound even at full!
