Hi Guys,

Has anyone been able to connect the Xperia Z through screen mirroring without losing their wifi connection?

Every time I connect through screen mirroring my wifi connection is terminated.

Any assistance would be appreciated

I think it's a limitation...screen mirroring is done via wi-fi and maybe it occupies all of it's bandwidth.
There are no more barriers to cross. All I have in common with the uncontrollable and the insane, the vicious and the evil, all the mayhem I have caused and my utter indifference toward it I have now surpassed.

I got my next Xperia Z this week. Have update it and it feels like exchanged!!!

Had before tested S4 & HTC ONE. I must say no of them come close to Z level! The Z radiate such a huge aura! Z has the best screen after the Update! Best design! Best haptics! Best UI so far!

I'm really impressed! Never thought a software update could fix it... Only the WiFi issue is still there.

Now I can live with my baby.

Thanks SONY!

@king-james You think Z screen is good after the update? Try the Tablet Z. Absolutely fabulous screen. Comparable to TX

I also have the Xperia T and I am able to keep my wifi connection while connected through screen mirroring (miracast). I find it very strange that my old Xperia T doesn't lose it's wifi connection but my Xperia Z does

Yeah, colours and viewing angles much better! Deep Black finaly! Now Z can easy compete to ION... Bought the T this week also, instead TX... TX is unfortunately still now available here and won't come anymore.

I believe that the Tablet Z has nice screen, but I think I won't buy it. The battery make me worries (same battery like xts but with 1080p screen plus it's bigger 9,4" to 10,1").

Maybe buying Togari instead... It's almost a small tablet with phone function.

Agree, I have the same WiFi-problems with my Z. It loose every 10 seconds connection. I don't understand why it has this issue. The connection is good but it lost alltime and it doesn't make fun to surf on web or even whatsapp.

I switched to 3G only at the moment, no other chance to use internet.

Hope SONY can fix it with the next update... It's an absolute no-go!

Guys can you tell me which is the TOP/BEST screen protector for Xperia Z?

After doing a little search on google, I've liked only 2.

1) Benks HD Frosted and Anti-glare Set Series Magic TSR Screen Protector For Sony Xperia Z
2) Sony Xperia Z Screen Protector GLAS.t SLIM Premium Tempered Glass

Please suggest me the TOP one
T200 -> T68i -> T610 -> K700i -> P910i -> W800i -> P990i -> M600i -> P1-> Nokia E71 -> X1i -> X10 -> Arc S -> Sony Z1 -> Sony Z Ultra -> Sony Z3+ -> iPhone 6 -> iPhone 7 Plus -> iPhone X -> iPhone XS Max

does anyone have any idea on when the Xperia Z is likely to get 4.2.2 it must be soon if Sony are to keep up as GSM. arena have reported that the HTC One will get it in a matter of weeks and with the S4 already having it it will put the Z behind the 2. I know there isn't a great deal different to 4.1.2. But it would still be nice if Sony even gave us an ETA screen shots were taken of a Z running 4.2.2 back in February so why the long delay in the roll out. If anyone can shed anylight as to why this is please feel free to let me know.

@XperiaJunkie

The word is that Sony want the Xperia S roll-out to be well underway before Z gets it's updates. The delay in Xperia S FW means they'll start getting it anytime now (it's already out on EMMA, so they're waiting for regional customisations and approvals), meaning we're looking at at least 3 weeks for 4.2 here. I am hoping (perhaps overly optimistically) that in the time they're waiting for Xperia S to roll-out they are getting a head start on 4.3, but I'm not holding my breath.

@king-james

Tablet Z is out of this world. I have no issue with the battery, can easily watch a couple streaming movies and do some browsing in between between charges.

Also, I am intrigued as to what you think has actually improved with Xperia Z after the FW update with regards to the screen. After I updated I didn't notice much improvement. The biggest thing was the UI bars were black instead of grey, but that isn't the quality of the screen, it was a design decision. For me the screen on Z still has mediocre viewing angles (certain colours change from certain angles).

Still Xperia ion left awaiting for 4.1 update, 3 weeks from here is good approx. I hope too.

To me the improvement is really noticeable and makes the screen look better. I think, the upgrade turns BE2 on at every level of the UI, from the background to the settings, not just in the album. But because of this, when BE2 is turned on in the setting, the colours of the photos become over saturated which I don't like. (it's like BE2 + BE2 = BE4) Though the "BE4" makes videos look really good.

Just got a message saying that Xperia Z/ZL/Tablet Z 4.2.2 is in it's final, final beta testing phase. They are rolling out the firmware for brown devices this week, if it goes well then it will be rolling out to consumer devices in 2-3 weeks. Well I've heard this before, but let's hope it's real this time. If Sony can actually ship 4.2.2 before the end of June it will be a miracle.
