LOL!!!!!!
you are trying to pair with another phone!!!! You need to go to the item you want to send, select send, then select via bluetooth.
@rndmyllsktr-i know what you mean
regarding the popularity of bjacking-
All of the people who create these stupid websites and try to get their 15 minutes of fame piss me off. I mean, ajack created bjacking, and you dont see him trying to make himself famous for it. (Much credit to ajack for that) Who really pisses me off is jellyellie, who tries to claim that she (or he?, I can't tell) was mainly responsible for the spread of bluejacking. What jellyellie and people that act like jellyellie need to do is to shut up, stop trying to be leeches and profit off of things that they didnt even create, and stop spoiling it for the rest of us. |

Is jellie still around? Not heard her on the board for a long time.
What's everyones experience of battery life with BT on - my p900 seems to last just about a day with it on, but around 3 days with it off.
By the way, did anyone else know that 02 allow you to dial up 0845 numbers and the calls are included in your monthly allowance?
I stopped using GPRS and switched to using on of the free ISPs - Aardvaak - OK it's only 9600bps but for email it's fine and who really wants to browse the web on a p900 LOL. I always have minutes left over each month and it's cheaper than paying O2 for a data package.

If we all thought like that then there would never be any development of ideas. We'd still be watching mechanical television (J L Bairds version) rather than the better versions that came along later, seeded by his ideas and inventions.
Very rarely does the originator of an idea or design ever see it beyond the first iteration. They seed the idea in others who go on to further investigate and develop it.
OK, so we all know about BlueJacking now - so what's the next step? What can it be used for apart from the odd prank? Sooner or later everyone will know about it but by then those who have been creative will be on to Stage 2. Dating by BlueJack perhaps?

That's not what I'm saying; for example we all know thomas alva edison invented the lightbulb right? Well, just because i have a website on lightbulbs i don't try to make it seem as if i'm the one who did it....
but enough of that bullshit. With the advent of internet dating, im suure it wont be long before there are things like bluetooth dating, etc. However, noone in the US uses bluetooth but it's pretty much up to us to start the actual trend. |

most likely the nokia owner did not accept your message.
@kim... erm.... nowhere did jellyellie claim to have invented bluejacking or to be the only one responsible for the spread. As ajack doesn't seem to have a problem, I'm not sure why you should.
For the record, i can report thatliterally NO-ONE overe here has wisened up since the beginning of jacking websites.
So chill... and happy hunting

Guess what? Looks like Nokia is once again following in the footsteps of the greatest, SONY Ericsson. I was recently in my local mall's Gamestop, and was checking out the N-Gages there (I just think it's sad when video game stores start selling subscriptions to T-Mobile, and why only T-Mobile? Odd. Anyways............).
I turned their Bluetooth on, and was going to Bluejack them. I wanted to take a picture of some guy playing around with the N-Gage and send it to the phone. However, it wouldn't send!!!
I went up to the N-Gage and started trying to mess around with it, when, to my surprise, I see that they have copied SONY Ericsson!!! They now have an option to put the phone as "Discoverable" or "Undiscoverable" when using Bluetooth! What the heck!!!
Short story- I ended up sending my "Virus" contact to the guy, and that spooked him out enough. Wonder what he would have done if he'd gotten a picture of his back. Hmmmmmm..................

My three most popular contacts to use are my "Fatal Error Contact", my "Virus Detected Contact" and my website contact.
Here's a little tip, make a two line contact to freak them out.
For example, my "Fatal Error Contact" (on the name) has "Fatal Error", then I go into the symbols and choose the "New Paragraph symbol, also accessed by pressing "#" twice. Then I have "Reset Phone" on the next line (but still in the Name section). Finally, add another Return symbol, so when it scrolls the name, the title appears on a third line.
Then, for the "Work" number, I put SONY Ericsson's and for the "Other" number, I put AT&T's (my carrier). Under "E-mail", I put my clubsite (a little cheap advertising there), and the "Title" says Virus Detected, and the "Company" says Virus received.
What the return's on the Name section do is let the name scroll on the other person's phone when they receive it. It's funny, cause it seems a little more authentic. It says "Fatal Error", then the words "Reset Phone" scroll onto the screen, and it repeats. This makes it a little more believable, at least to me.
As for my "Virus Detected Contact", eveyrthing is the same, except the name has "Virus Detected, then "Reset Phone". Funny!
Try this method, if you don't already!!!
