So I watched Valkyrie a few hours ago, can't say I was too anxious to watch it. Was an okay movie for me, would've watched something else. You gotta hate the ads they play before the movies start though, you end up going through a few drinks before the movie starts. I wouldn't be surprised if they start having informercials during movies

I couldn't agree with you more, bro! I loathe those damn commercials so much that I book my seat well in advance, and always choose a corner seat in the back row. I'll get there on time, but will hang about at the coffee shop next door, or pop out for a smoke until the movie proper is about to start. That way I can get to my seat without inconveniencing other patrons whilst having skipped the drivel. I went to watch Transporter 3 on Friday, and must say that I really enjoyed it

lol, yeah, going in late might be a solution if you get to choose your seat beforehand. Most cinemas nowadays allow you to sit anywhere you please...

Dang, it's still pelting down with the wind picking up too. A blizzard is forming:

Been quite a while since it snowed so heavily. So the weather gurus were pretty accurate. Eish, gonna be an experience to drive in these treacherous conditions later...

This is what we woke up to this morning:

It's still snowing...and we've been given the day off! Woohoooo!! The head's just phoned and there's so many staff stranded on some motorways that she's had to call everyone and cancel school. We've got to phone at 2pm as regards the plan-of-action for tomorrow.

Sigh, what joy. My Ukrainian colleague has just phoned me. She's having a laugh at these poor Angliski who are obviously not used to or adapted to such extreme snow (by UK standards, LOL) , as what they are in most of Europe.

Whatever; I ain't complaining.

@ rhino:

Yeah it's eerily peaceful (paradox?) , as there's hardly any cars or people going by and there's a real silence/'hush' when you step outside. Almost surreal.
Glad we're not driving in all of this. Doesn't look like all the roads have had grit laid on them overnight, by the local council/municipality's grit trucks, either.

@ Hobbster:
It's not as cold as it looks IMHO; methinks when this all starts to thaw out, it might well be.
BTW, will check out that review shortly, especially as I have a bit of time on my hands this morning..

@ Kryptik:
Ya that Ducati comes with the latest traction control management as standard. With such a power-to-weight ratio, it sure is a worthwhile inclusion.
