I JUST thought Samsung fanboys hate Eldar Murtazin

BTW, isn't Xperia Z1 screen better than Galaxy S4 & LG G 2 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8HTvb-lQzY

So the 2.2GHz S800 used by Sony is eating more power, is that why the Z Ultra had such a disappointing battery score at GSMArena? It got 52hours if I'm not mistaken, quite low for a 2013 flagship as compared to S4 and even Note2.

I wouldnt blame the chip in that case. I think 3000 mAh is just not enough for a 6,44 inch 1080p screen.

love what Sony have done with their announcement at IFA!

Great Phone (check) - Honami (probably one of the best smartphones out there)
Great Range of accessories to go with it (check)
Great media services and cloud integration (check)

Sony have just established themselves as the 'Apple' of Android with all that! and that using more open and standard based technologies!!!

Kaz was right not to sell the Sony Entertainment...I like how they are integrating everything ONE SONY!!!!

Now that Honami is out

what are the realistic expectations of Honami mini?

Is it realistic to expect it to be pretty much Honami with these differences:
4.3" 720p screen
2400mAh battery
smaller body obviously

or do we expect any other downgrades (I really hope not)

720p 4.3" screen, with the same processor , with the z sized battery and Less camera pixel
Maybe the same camera of Z1 but not 20 mp

Maybe 16 or 13

When will it come?

Ah yes, they skimped on its battery to make it super thin.

Yeah except it doesnt work like that. The 2.2 (2.15 really) GHz chip runs on higher voltage than the 2.3 Ghz chip.

Woops, my bad. I remember an insider saying long ago Sony weren't taking the highest clock due to battery life, I didn't know about the voltage, I made an assumption, I apologise.

@ambivalent
My post wasn't aimed at jianlin, it was aimed at Mr exaggeration snide remarks guy.

Keep in mind im not saying Z1 will have worse battery life. Far too many variables come into play for that

But my guess is that Sony chose the 2.2 Ghz chip because of cost reasons since its cheaper. Margins on these phones are tight and Sony is using expensive premium materials so they have to cut costs somewhere. Samsung and LG use cheap plastic wich allows them to spend more on the SoC

Real world performance should be the same anyhow

What're you talking about when you say, "Sony chose the 2.2 Ghz chip because of cost reasons since its cheaper"? It's the same S800 CPU, just clocked at a different frequency. Reasons for doing so could be anything from heat buildup to battery life.

Millet 3 "8974AB" edition this year and will not be listed. . We get the message "8974AB" officially listed until next year, "Millet 3" sale this year only "T4" version. . He was just bragging it. Sony "Z2" will be "8974AB"

Look up the term "binning"

The 2.3 Ghz version is the better binned part so its more expensive to purchase. The 2.2 Ghz runs on higher voltage and therefore also runs hotter wich is why its clocked lower and sold cheaper

@huiyi Your translator translated '小米' to 'Millet' instead of 'Xiaomi'

Anyway, I think the point is that the image of the chipset 8974 vs 8974AB is that it was advertising the Xiaomi 3 handset as having the best chip out there.
I have a dig bick
