Last time I updated via seus is bricked my phone, was able to save the phone via davinciteam. I am very wary of using it again after that. I have updated to the 038 version of the firmware and it seems ok, no real big speed improvements as far as operating the phone, maybe another version of the firmware may prove better. Mine is an unbranded k850i blue.

>500: My phone's origin is lost to me since I bought it from ebay from a user who had it for 1-2 weeks before selling. There is no branding whatsoever on the phone itself nor on startup/shoutdown. I need to compare the imei on the phone to what's on the box (should be one of the barcodes on the side right?). The box has TIM on the side and a couple of booklets that mention TIM on them as well. At any rate - no update for me as of Saturday night

yeah the imei will be on the side of the box, and on the phone, type in *#06# and compare them!

your phone sounds unbranded though!

APAC-ANZ

I hope that's all the info to tell branding - let me know if I missed anything and thanks!

Sorry for the delay,

I know this sounds strange, your phone came in a TIM box which is Telecom Italia. Does the IMEI number match the box you got it in.

The phone is Generic from what i understand.

APAC-ANZ is Asia, Pacific, Australia

Tim has its own branding (TIM ITALY/ BLUE TIM-ITALY)

Hope this helps

That -38 firmware really seem to suck bigtime! Tons of bugs and hickups!
I really hope that the firmware that is comming is by the end of this month/early february is "another" firmware!!

I Got the Info here from the forum...

R1DA038 had a little peformance increased, but hope this new Firmware wich is coming in 20 January give better results...

About the megabass issue I dont Know if SE Knows about this problem... Mine has it too but dosent bothers me at all... Maybe is on purpose to difer the Cybershot series to the Walkman series as they do to the sound... Hope really son we can use the W890i or W910i sound drivers in ours K850i ... As I Had done with my K800i using the W880i drivers..

Dark Photos Issue Again....

Everyone It seens that no one anymore is talking about dark photos again.... So here is for all who tried to help me THANKS AND SORRY!!! Really sorry. My K850i is until in the R1CA037 firmware but my dark photos is 99% solved... This phone really have a constrution fault... And the fact is the mode that you hold the phone is a way that you canīt have at all no fingers or other else in the back of it... The problem is I Thoug the you soulhd be carefull only not to put your fingers above or really near the flash sensor... but the truth is no fingers at all at the back... I was used to my K800i wich has a protected flash sensor...

The other 1% is really software issues the photo dosent get dark at all but it should be more brighter... In some wide spaces it get a little red...

So if you hold the phone like this guy you should have almost any problem with dark photos...

Anyone want to say sorry also??? Just kidding but was just a matter of pay atention...

Take this way and you dont have dark photos:
