Did anyone check the video rec. quality next to a n95-8gig? Especialy the frame rate and color rendition? Please help. Video recording is very important for me.

I'm afraid I've never used/owned an N95 8gig. The clip I took when I first got is the best video recording I've ever seen from a mobile; although my previous phones capable of video were the i900 and lots of SE's and they weren't great.

I have to say that since I got it on Wednesday I've played about with it constantly and it all works really well. As with the previous Omnia I really like the fact that I can throw Xvid and Divx at it with no conversion and it just plays them. In fact I'd have to say that it's the best handset I've owned so far and I've been a mobile user since the early days of analogue. I'm sure it will be even better when it's de-branded too.

The mail client isn't as good as the WinMo client. Manual setup and my mail only auto retrieves if I use the service provider internet 3g access point. If I stick it on default were it searches for my Wifi connection then defaults to the 3g service it doesn't pull down new mail unless I manually connect and select the access point. Fortuantely I've got unlimited web so I just leave it on the provider 3g service.

There's nothing else really that's any worse. The camera, touchscreen, text input, hardware and UI speed more than make up for it. I still think it's the best handset I've owned, the i900 was sort of nearly there but this is much better. Still happy, although I'll be even more so when the Orange Firmware has gone.

I haven't tried it but there's a Exchange direct push client installed on the phone called Roadsync.

FOXLIBRA - 3G Bands 850, 900, 1900, 2100.

asanka1 - That would depend on where you live, the carrier and tarriff or whether you can get it SIM free. The screen is 3.7" AMOLED.

aparently the FM transmitter can be activated in the Omnia HD, this was posted in mobile-review forum:

you gotta type #22822*# and then the call button to enter the manufacturer-mode.
here you can activate the fm-transmitter by dialing 110993383 + call button. it should appear in Options in Music Player

#22822*# doesn't do anything and *#7370# is just a hard reset, it just formats the phone and puts everything back to default. Neither of these will do anything for an FM Transmitter I'm afraid.
