a T630 or a K500 would be nice.
i personally prefere the T630
but a K500 would be better for SE

also got a Z600 for sale... that one has been used... and has lots of covers! Chinese dragon, 50 pound note design, and other designs too!

definately k500! i love and many other people love there k700 and there vertually the same except slightly better screen and BT (radio if youre that bothered) so have a quick search on google and if youre lucky, ive seen 1 for around £80-90. www.a1comms.co.uk do it for £100

 so youve already taken it out of the box and stuff, but while your there, you might as well just check for me, what you can find as being branded, because it's o2. Many thanks. Oh yeah, one more thing, if i buy it, will it come with an 02 payn and go sim (up to you, because my mum wants to use her vodafone sim)

I think the way to go is to check out what your mum's mobile providor will do for her!! She's got a crappy motorola v66 on a contract or pay as you go... ?
I think her providor might do a great deal to keep her custom!
I would recommend giving that a whirl first! Oh! Isn't there a whirl in a fingerprint? hMMM.. Maybe that's a whorl.. haha!

F500 is more youth orientated in my opinion. The T630 is more of a classic, just like your mum, probably. 
Oh and BlueJacking your Mum would be priceless.
