yeah. I person who I work with has had no problem with his 3 month old S700 while my 7 month S700 has had most of the problems reported on Esato.

@JC
Not sure. I had a 64 Mg MS that came with the hopefully long dead BT MP3 Player Headphone that SE released about two years ago. I just took the MS out of it, and put it in my s700i. No problems. To be honest, I am not sure if it is a Pro card. I assumed it was because it was White with Magic Gate, but now that you mention it, it might not be a Pro card. I will have to get the card back from my daughter when she gets home. I think more and more it appears that it might be a combination of cards, phones, the moon and stars, the wave of the ocean, electro-magnetic fields, etc... and in the end, no one, not even SE knows why the phones are doing this. It is easier for them to give a new phone and hope for the best it seems.

So, can we or can we not use a 128 Mb MS Duo card on s700i (fresh new, not formatted, from the store) without experiencing the reboot problem? |

@Val
To be honest, not sure. My 128 was newly purchased in Qatar for my s700i. It worked for a month or so and no problems, then things went to crap slowly. I got a new phone and it has rebooted twice so far. However, I have tried the 64 mg card and the 32 mg card with no problems. The thing for me is that I do not use my s700i for songs. I have an iPod for this. I use a few ringing tones, and photos for my contacts, so in reality a 32 meg card is enough for me.

K500iphone,
You try with R2AG
Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

@Chris
I have never had this happen. What are you using for a storage device? I have also heard that it could be caused by the sim card that you are using. I am researching this. I can say that this has never happened with my Vodafone card in the phone. Only happened with my Sonera card and a few times with my Wataniya card.

Is your card sim card a new one, i.e. 32k or 64k meg card? Also, do you know the voltage of the card, i.e. 3v? I am trying to just brainstorm here with your problems. I think it could be a number of things now related to other than just the Memory Stick.

I think that you can ask your service provider.

Had my S700 switched on for 2 days straight now with the 128mb MS Duo in and nothing so far. Upgraded the firmware last night to R3K with no problems either. I think it may be like what happens with the P900/P910 where it restarts to improve performance when it starts to slow down. Shame it doesn't come up with a message like the P series did to let you know what had happened.

I think that SE is actually a bit afraid of this problem being that they are exchanging the phones. They have quite a bit invested in the next series soon to come out. If these succeed, they can push SE back to the forefront and make them an real contender in the market. They are also looking for that churn that is very important to getting users to change from brand xxx to SE.
