It doesn't have to do with characters, it's all about the network freq...
So it's not imposimble to have a K700i with chinese characters

@ephil_24: No, I'm sorry, but the difference between the SE K700c and the SE K700i has nothing to do with frequencies or networks. Both models supports GSM 900, 1800 and 1900. At least according to information found on the official SE web site.

In Malaysia SE released K700i, the advertisement says it have only 32MB but the phone itself indeed have 41MB. I have check my set and it does have 41MB excludes application. As for the chinese characters on the keypad, Nope there isnt any but it does supports chinese text in reading and writing. |

@meeezz: The phone model that supports chinese text is the SE K700c, not the SE K700i, right?

No......SE K700i in some countries (such as Hong Kong & Taiwan) also support Chinese text. The name K700c is specially for China. |

Got mine off o2online, on side of box says 32mb, but phone has 41mb free..heeeee!From what i understand it was going to have just the 32mb but quite a few people during tests said it wasnt enough as you share the memory through everything on the phone.
I had it....i broke it...i got a new one |

@bico: The K700i supports chinese input. In fact it only has English and Chinese. The K700 (western version) should have multiple European languages.

Okay, let's end this!
If you live in Europe, America, and some other places and go to the store and buy a K700 you will get a K700i! Nothing else!
When you go to China and around and buy a K700, you will get a K700c!
Nothing more!
YOU CAN NOT GET A K700 WITHOUT A LETTER AFTER THE ZEROS!!! |

I thought you were gonna end this.
The K700 is the general name for the phone, and just means K700c or K700i.
The K700c is made exclusively for China. Rumour has it that it may have a Simplified Chinese language, but that hasn't been proven anywhere.
The K700i is really an international version, and can be bought anywhere in the world (possibly excluding China). The languages on the phone depend on the region you buy it in, as do the keypad markings. If you buy it in Hong Kong, you'll have the English and Chinese languages and Chinese stroke marks on the keys. If you buy it in Europe, you'll probably have English, German, French, Turkish, etc and not have any Chinese stroke marks.
