Just to let you know the CPW Service Centre in Birmingham has R8A unfortunately they couldn't upgrade my phone, something about the upgrade not taking. Looks like I will be calling SE.

CPW despite saying the phone was unchanged appeared to have partially flashed my phone as when I retried some of the menu options the phone locked up. However I phoned the number for SE they gave me in order to get it upgraded and SE recommended another place called Gittins Communications who reflashed my phone and all is now great and I'm running R8A015 it was definitely worth the upgrade.
Just in case anybody else is planning to do this I didn't lose any of my phone book entries, pictures, ringtones or SMS/MMS messages even with the bodged initial flash.

i'm using r7 and havent upgraded for r8a, im ok with it anyway. waiting for an r9, i suppose it wouldn't take that long.. hopefully

The R8A version has in some countrys 4 EXTRA games.
Tennis, ballpop, and two more.
There are screenshots of it in this forum
But the R8A version is not in all languages availleble yet.
It has a new option in the bleutooth-menu also.
