i'd like a more flexible music player. ie to be able to create playlists, search to the middle of tracks etc etc, the current one is just a bit too basic

Big up SonyEricsson

Instead of a clock icon, A REAL CLOCK, preferably with the date as well.

1)A camera that records
2)That the screen light doesn't turn off when the stylus is dragged and not just clicked.
3) Increase size of the supported mem stick.

And can the poster please edit his original post when new request are made so that it'll be easy to past this list on to SE? Thanks

NEW VERSION OF THE P800 INTERFACE COMPLETED
2003-02-28

The graphical interface for Sony Ericsson's communicator P800 is called UIQ. Now a new version of it has been released, which of course increases the speculations that a new P800 may also be on the way out.

Above all it is the appearance and the sound that have been improved in the new version. Functions for games and music should also have become better in the new version. The possibilities to make the phone more personalized by "themes" in form of color
schemes, background pictures etc. has also been improved.

SOON THERE WILL BE BETTER SOFTWARE FOR P800
2003-03-03

At the beginning of April it will be possible to
upgrade the software in P800. The upgrade will among other things improve the quality of pictures taken with the built in camera.

Another thing improved in the new software is the bluetooth. Previously in some cases it has been problematic to connect bluetooth accessories.

UIQ is the name of the software functioning together with the operating system SymbianOS. Recently a new UIQ version was released and it is that new version P800 users will be able to put in their phones. Sony Ericsson now starts testings of the new version of UIQ. Our sources claims the new software will
be released at beginning of April to the users.

It is also said that those having a P800 will possibly be able to upgrade their phones by themself by dowloading an upgrade file from internet.

When in silent mode with vibration on only phone functions set off the vibration. Clock & PDA alarms don't vibrate.

Sync of folders/catagories with outlook.

Integrated Word Processor & Excel type applications (instead of just viewers.

Enhanced Opera built into phone as the only all-in-on browser.

Storage folders for email.

Also a way to SORT the JOTTER entries

And option in the TO-DO that enables only due items to show while hiding items not yet due.
