You might think orange are bad because your desparate for a P800 like the rest of us but where are Voda & O2? Not even mentioned on their websites. Not even released SIM free form SE yet!
At least orange are definetely having it and for them to be first (before Voda & o2) is unheard of. |

2 weeks ago they told me the 17th, n on wed las week they told me the 17th, but wasnt sure on price, but should have one by the weekend. so i rang them yesterday, n the muppet in the shop didnt know what a p800 was!!!!
so i rang them again this mornin, n the manager (well so he said), told me that he dint know when it would be, but id get a phone call (ha yeah right).
whats takin so long????????????? why are we (the uk) always the last 2 get new technology? |

Very true. I know that nobody can be worse than voda because thats who im on now & they are terrible. I wouldn't mind so much if every customer service rep at orange gave the same answer but everyone is giving different answers which is frustrating me. |

you people in UK are not only going thru this bullshit, we in the US are dealing with these damn delays and shit too... I called the SE shop in US already over 10 times and each answer was different... it's SE that doesnt know a damn thing about the p800 release date and it's pissing me off and I'm sure you guys are fed up with this shit too... how can they do business like this and keep the customers waiting for how long now? Arghh, I just hope this phone is released soon anywhere from 17th-24th... March will be really ridiculous... sigh... I'm really tired of all these damn stories from SE that they will be releasing it on so and so, and when that day comes, still nothing... quit playing with our heads SE and release the f**kin phone already, damn wtf is taking so long... shit.... |

According to the boss of Smalltalk, Orange will release delivery dates and prices on Wednesday. So it does look like it'll be released the end of this month.

Just to add - I've just phoned SE UK (at 15:00 GMT) and been told they are expecting stock from 17th to 24th. Today's stock DID NOT arrive.
This is NOT what they told me last Wednesday when I placed the order. At the time they said they would have them on the 17th and I could expect delivery on 18th. They even mentioned I should ensure I'm at home to sign for the package !!
They obviously don't have a clue.

@arroyootje
Why have you turned against the P800?
Main reasons I want a P800:
All in one device, Symbian OS (Psion fan), proper built in PIM with good text input (ie full keyboard & handwritting), music playback, add-on applications (coming all the time), better battery life than a Pocket PC (Current iPAQ3970 user), email with ability to see common FULL attachments, WAP, expandable memory.
Bonus:
Camera, games, video playback, web browsing (if it comes video recording).
Based on my Main reasons, would you still say the P800 is rubbish? |

It seems as though some ppl are saying that Orange HAVE launched them today. Has anyone actually managed to purchase a P800 from Orange today ? |

I plan on getting it if possible through Singlepoint (Phones 4 U) they do contracts on all 4 networks, now whether all four networks will carry the phone i have no clue. The P800 is on the singlepoint website though and advertise for the end of February. |

I've got soooo sick of waiting for a SIM free UK version I have cancelled my order with SE UK and placed an order for an import.
I am going to make a point of buying all my accessories from somewhere other than the e-don't shop.

I went trekking round about 10 shops today seeing if anyone had gotten a delivery of the fone... NO!!!
Gonna call SE eShop tomorrow for an update.
Spoke to T-Mobile CS about 2 months back, said they were testing it out, Now they say they have no idea when it's coming out!!
Just spke to T-Mobile CS, no release date (STILL!!), but do get £99.99 off my next handset when I upgrade... might wait awhile longer!!
