Becareful while disassembling the P1i, the keypad flex breaks easily. I reccomend you take it to the nearest service center and ask them to fix it, since no one has opened the phone yet.

No squeaks on my P1i yet but...

Anyone else's p1 have a loose camera cover? By camera cover I mean the plastic above the 3.2 mp camera (I bet most think the camera lens is unprotected ) Mine keeps poping out slightly on the jog wheel side.

I'm returning mine tomorrow to be replaced but as I haven't done anything to cause this I'm wondering if this is a design problem and likely to happen again.

Cheers

It's the same on mine, I think. The plastic is a bit loose - if you press down on one side, it shifts a little. The entire camera module is a bit flakey, if you ask me. And the phone would've looked a bit better if the camera had been hidden away, imo.

The camera is a distinct afterthought and I'm disappointed in it. It moves around in the housing and combined with the green tint issue is a real 'returner' if there was anything out there to compete at the price level. N95 had and sent back and can't afford that E90.

Same here, the surround on mine is a bit loose - if I tap it there is movement.

Mine is not the only one then. Its just a week since I got the p1 and very reluctant to send it back. If I do send it back and get a replacement I suspect the same problem might happen again. I'm tempted use glue but that might become a waranty issue. I wish SE don't release phones with problems like this

No squeaks here.
Thankfully mine is built pretty well.

Were your phones earlier batches?

Yeah, an early batch. I didn't buy the phone for the camera, either, so it's annoying if this is some sort of problem I really should have fixed (in case there's some corrosion underneath later, or whatever).

...on the other hand, I can have it replaced on the warranty any time, then..

(Doesn't sound unlikely it has something to do with the green tint, either. I've seen discoloured pictures like that on other cheap digital cameras before, and it was something technical about overexposure and a skewed palette, I think.)

How do you do this? To be honest I don't know... do I have to make a videocall (don't think I can). Video or image mode with camera doesn't matter btw...

main->phone->videophone

Black and white photos look really good, though, for some reason.. strange. Hasn't got a slow shade away to the right either..

Has anyone here bought P1i from mobilefun uk? If so how is the quality of the phone? I've sent my P1i back to them and asked for replacement or my money back. I only had it for 4 days and instead of replacing it they have sent it on tho Sony Ericsson!

My P1i squeaks right from the box, it was crying to be fitted tighter and now it is rock solid.
