What a heartless place this forum has become. Maybe its no different than the rest of the world, but its supposed to be. This is supposed to be a place for people with similar interests to come together and discuss rumors, speculations, and even wishes. To bash someone for being wrong and then bash others for asking him to come back is kind of pathetic. If those asking him to come back want him back then they have the right to do so. Its not humiliating, its human.

This forum is getting far too judgmental. If you disagree with someone, then do it rationally. There is nothing at stake here for anyone. But I guess that's why people are so nasty. Who really gets hurt when rumors are wrong or someone says something negative about Sony. For crying out loud, its a company, not a person. And even if it was a person, no one is perfect.

I feel like I'm listening to my kids complain that we can't go to the park because its raining and I promised them we could go before it started to rain. They don't care that things change or the weatherman was wrong. They only care that they can't go to the park. I thought people were supposed to become more rational as they grew up...

**looks around to see if the coast is clear**..

Well, I know I said I'd be taking a break from this thread til IFA, but hell, I've been on Esato for, FOREVER, and while I haven't been a huge contributor or a source of any kind, I love this place and I'll be damned if I'll be chased off by crazy people

Regarding 4.3 on Honami, it's entirely plausible. Yes, Google just announced it and Sony developers have already put it on Tablet Z and the Z and officially confirmed it's coming to the Z. So, I think it's plausible that they put it on Honami, the only reason it would NOT happen is due to exclusivity agreements with Google which require that their nexus and play edition devices get it first and have it first for a set period of time (don't know what that period of time is).

I'd be interested to know the numbers behind the Triluminos screen too, though in the end, I will trust my eyes over the numbers. It'd be fun to know though.

Guys can we please put this situation behind us, What's happened happened. Let's improve the threads quality by being on topic instead of arguing about things that have already happened. I suggest for those who want to discuss this further to start a thread about that topic but this thread is about Xperia rumors and let's make sure to keep it that way. I'm no moderator or something but the thread has been really unpleasant lately. Also what happened to Randomuser was unfortunate yes, but people you have to stop crying about it. Trolls exist everywhere, accept that fact and move on please.

Thanks.

On topic : Can someone explain why some people are annoyed with the Honami possibly having bigger bezels, Is there any disadvantage to that? Or is it plain design taste?

^it's really just design taste. smaller bezels doesn't give any functional advantage afaik

^^ Moog one of the few ppl from the old days ... T68/T610 era. But i digress ... smaller bezel means a smaller device... pocket space is finite. Functionally its not just aesthetic but ergonomic. my personal preference is as small as possible. hopefully that statistic is something sony pushes (screen/face ratio) ZL 78% lets hope we can start seeing 80+% soon.

We’re also looking at uplifting some of our other devices running 4.1 direct to 4.3 – we’ll share more info / deets / timings when we can, so be sure to follow @SonyMobileNews for all the latest.

So Can 2012 users have some hope of getting 4.3? Xperia S users??

Seems like it, but I think (because I really don't know) that they're reffering to de V, T? Let's hope for S(L)/Ion/Acro S!!

well not necessarily. big bezels on a dimensionally small device can exist, which results in a small screen. let's say a small bezel to phone size ratio results in a smaller device overall. in the end, we're talking a few millimeters, which for me, isn't a big issue. for some it is i guess or it wouldn't be discussed to death

and yes.. T68i was my first SE phone and the reason I joined this forum

Interesting pics, The most important part for me regarding the Honami would be a better screen, screen protection(sapphire ?), better speakers and the S800 CPU, I also really like the square design which is the main reason I dislike the SG4. Anything beyond that would just be a + for my part. And the camera isn't really that important for me. I think we can all agree that the camera on the Honami will be above average for sure, but whether it will be the best or not remains to be seen.

@razec how much lighter and thinner will Xperia tablet Z's successor be compared to tablet Z? Is it significant?

@razec : At IFA? It's better this thing be on US stores by September. Or I will have to get a Tablet Z, the "old" one. I'm going to US in start of Oct and I need a tablet now. It's better the new Tablet be delayed to next year or be released to be sold before Oct 1st.

It wasn't specified how thin and light it would be, I'll try asking him about the dimensions, he told me there will be more infos to come regarding this in the next few days so we'll just have to wait for that.

@Felimenta97: Yes IFA as he told me
