@ Hobbs,
Ya we 'Skype' those friends in of ours in Jozi, as well as the in-laws in CT.
Best of all it's free.
@ JC,
Personally I'd forget about the W910i.
It's a very smart-looking slim slider, but that's about it. The other 2 are in a totally different league, specs-wise. All depends what suits your needs.
Comparitive specs are easy to view at http://www.gsmarena.com .
EDIT: Now the W960i I'd seriously consider in that equation, although a P1i still is where it's at for my needs.

Hi all, you may have caught the news about the stabbing and murder of a K.E.S Head Boy that happnd on late Saturday nite and early hours of Sunday morning at a house party. Well that was my VERY close cousin's 17th b-day party, i just want to clearify that the stabbing actualy happend NEAR BY THE HOUSE, the boy who was killd was one of my cousin's close friends and the boy's mother had borrowed him her car that nite, what happnd was that the boy had been driving in and out of the party dropping friends off at the party and picking up others at the McDonalds on Huns Strydom RD. As he was driving back to the party he was then hijacked and stabbed by the hijackers, the hijackers then tried taking the car but had difficulty doing this so they got out and ran away, a couple of the boys other friends found him like this a couple of minutes later and quickly drove him up to Olivedale hospital, where he unfortunetly past on . He was only 18 and had a great future ahead of him. I seriously think something should be done about crime before 2010 in this country, otherwise things like this are going to become VERY common.

If you're not too bothered about a top-spec camera, perhaps go for the Nokia.
Personally I'd go for the K850i, but it's not a smartphone like the N81, nor does it boast as much features as Nokia's N95, for example.
I enjoy my cellphone pic-taking and I don't see myself satisfied with a basic auto-focusless 2mp cam offering like the N81's got. That's just my personal needs; the Nokia has wi-fi as well, in fact pretty much everything else that's currently en vogue, specs-wise.
@ Gucci,
Eish boet. What does one say. That's really sad news. Hope the dregs that did that get what they deserve. A pertinent contentious issue at this point would be the use of the death penalty... Can't see that happening, but when I read things like that...

i read about the incident, Gucci. Really sad when one considers that he had his entire life ahead of him.
Rhino, having spent the last 17 years with Mrs.K, and the past 10 in matrimonial bliss *sometimes that's an oxymoron of legendary proportion, lol* i've come to a few conclusions regarding the fairer sex. One of those conclusions is that a man should very rarely simply speak up and ask for something which he desperately wants. Nay my broer, nie soe nie There are two courses of action open to you-
OPTION ONE:-
You need to approach it with all the tact and stealth of a leopard approaching the Vodacom Meerkat. Observe the prey, study its movements, and when resistance is at its lowest ebb, you strike with all possible speed and cunning. To this end, you need to shamelessly butter her up, as they say.
Start with a few "thoughtful" touches, e.g. breaky in bed, flowers, little gifts, etc. Do NOT, repeat NOT, mention the phone. Steer clear of the subject. Pursue this course with determination unparalleled for some weeks, if necessary.
Then, when a particularly happy event has just occurred, e.g. a windfall of some sort, or a particularly troublesome hurdle successfully crossed, or even upon the successful conclusion of an encounter of the *nudge nudge* variety, THAT'S when you make your move. With all the charm of Sean Connery and the bravery of Shaka, gently insinuate the subject of the phone into conversation... set the scene by posing a series of questions to which she can only answer in the affirmative, e.g. Love, you know i only want what's best for the family, right? Do you like the new curtains which i bought? Would you mind if invited your parents along for a 3week camping trip? etc etc. Once she's answered in the affirmative a number of times, slip in the Big One, i.e. Would you mind if i used the 9500? Voila, it's yours
And then there's OPTION TWO:-
Grovel. Beg. Whine. Plead. Make any promise necessary. Voila, it's yours

@GUCCI: Sad to hear about your friend, just read the story in a local evening paper down here and it seemed a bit weird that someone would be killed at a party. Thanks for clearing it up.
@JC: If money was not an issue, I'd go for the Nokia Luna. Its overpriced but you have to give credit where its due, Nokia know how to make a high-end phone.

Thanx a lot evryone seems like the media had changed some very important details about the incident, another thing i forgot was that he was not a Head Boy, he was actualy in grade 11, WOW the things they do to "JUICE UP" a story.
@ JC
Depending on what you want, Personally I would like the K850 BUT unfortunetly it does not run an OS or have Wifi so I would rather take the N81-8GB. Im keeping an eye on the W960 and N95-8GB since my upgrade is in May next year il have a good idea of both phones and know which one I want by that time

@ JC,
The K850i is apparently hitting the shelves here next month too, so hopefully late November or before Christmas in SA... perhaps JK could give a more accurate prediction though..
