I see that you live in Texas. Also, as a US customer, why do you plan on ordering from HK? Are there problems with compatibility? Is it a safe/cheap alternative?
Many thanks,

Does the Cyber-Shot name on the camera shutter light up when you open it like in the interactive presentation on the website? Probably doesn't, just thought it would be quite cool if it did
Also what headphones come with the K800? Is it confirmed that we will recieve HPM-70's? I hope so this would be great, though if not I'm happy with the K750 ones.

my local CPW just told me they are all network locked due to being 3g phones. They don't expect any sim free ones. I said to him that CPW almost always sell sim free phones and he said "yeah, but not if they are 3g"
is this really correct?
@Rieley, K790 has EDGE whereas K800 has UMTS

not true as far as a i know, the majority of the phones we have on o2 are unlocked/unbranded, wether they are 3g or not. i know for a fact the n80s/n70/6280/n91 are all sim free. the later 6280's we've had in are have o2 branded backgrounds and stuff but will still take any sim. the only time they are unlocked is when they come in an o2 branded box (like the imode phones)
we've had the dummys in today, slightly bigger than i expected it to be, i do like the slidey bit for the camera on the back, shiney finish and it "clicks" into place instead of being a freefall slide type mechanisam

Just returned from the WTA tennis in Eastbourne, with SE, and saw the final K800. The camera software has changed quite a bit from the prototype, with the BestPic mode now working instantaneously. Before it was very slow, and buggy.
I can't wait to get mine next week because I think the post-picture taking processing will make a massive difference to image quality.

Hi Guys ...
This is for all the folks out there in the states ...
The K800i will be available to most retailers by the 14th July and will cost US$ 650/= in the first week and then reduce gradually.
Cheers ...
@ Xugaa
Well when you push down the lense cover the words Sony Ericsson Cyber-Shot come up with the pic of a camera in between Sony Ericsson and Cyber-shot before the actual interface is launched.
As for the head phones .. yes you would be receiving the ones that are bundled with the w800i ... the so-called HPM-70 stereo headsets.
Cheers ...
