About the Bluetooth 2.1 in Xperia S, it is interesting to note that the new MW600 Bluetooth headseat supports the v3.0 but not any phone in Sony's current line-up. I think it might be that Xperia S supports Bluetooth v3.0 but the current version OS that it runs on does not support v3.0 that's why Sony only say v2.1. Maybe when it receives the Ice Cream update, the Bluetooth 3.0 will be activated. I think one HTC phone has a totally similar situation.

Android2.3 supports Bluetooth3.0, the Samsung Galaxy GS2 had full Bluetooth3.0 +HS in 2.3 and has it in ICS.

Are you sure? As far as I know the, HS is not compatible with Gingerbread. Can you provide me a link that says you can use the HS on gingerbread.

Lol they are not. Galaxy SII has Cortex CPU while Xperia S packs a Scorpion unit. I think You mistook galaxy SII with HTC Sensation. Since HTC Sensation uses same CPU as Xperia S but it's clocked at 1.2 GHz.

"SuperAMOLED Plus screen has excellent black levels and better viewing angles" just a question, you and all other people always look diagonally to the screen? Xperia S has just the best screen accept it don't come with this excuse that came from GSMarena.

"Expandable storage, 16GB/32GB built-in over 32GB fixed storage"

Tell me, your phone has no Bluetooth or DLNA enabled? another dumb excuse from GSMarena

"8.5mm thick (with some thicker areas) over 10.6mm (with thinner areas)" This has nothing to with the phone features or performance better just a personal opinion. Why don't tell GSM arena about Iphone/ Ipad lookalike?

"2MP front-facing camera over 1.3MP front-facing camera"
What is the big differences about 0,7 MP? you won't notice that.

"Bluetooth 3.0+HS over Bluetooth 2.1" This is also not big difference in practice.

Whats DLNA and Bluetooth got to do with expandable mem? Some of us invested in 16-32GB mem cards, and want to put them in our new phones, the Xperia S presents a problem there, its the same reason why many of us dont want an iPhone.
Im actualy very unhappy with some of the OEMs removing memory expansion, i cant be forever having to remove and replace media, not on a >2010 smartphone thats capable of encoding and decoding HD1080P media.

You can transfer to other devices.
I always use DLNA or Bluethoot for transfer my data to my PC and is very handy without those stupid card slot to chance

The most excuse from user complain about save files/photo or movies to chance the card, i simply transfer to my PC, really simple Or send back to your device, it's really simple.

I may still need clarification on this. If, with your correction, I'm not mistaken then ALL Snapdragon cpu's before the S4 are based on Cortex A8's which is worse than the A9 architecture and superset of the Arm 7 design?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapdragon_(system_on_chip)

How can the 1.5 Scorpion out perform standard Cortex A9 which in most instances uses PowerVR chips vs the Adreno 205/225 junk which doesn't compare in frames/video compiling/decompiling?

You are right about the performance but the screen sucks.
I had the phone for about a month now and the screen is getting yellower every day.
Got it all the way around the frame of the screen and by the unlock slider.
Very annoying.

Did you have any yellow tint when you first had the phone? Is it possible for you to get it exchanged?

You have a faulty screen, get to a Sony service center and they take care the problem.
You have just a faulty screen, their is nothing you can do than switch the screen.

Take care and don't wait to long.
