Hey, I was messing about the v5.6a camdriver and found out this quite nice and usual effect when taking sky photos.
Night: On | WhiteBalance: Auto
Night: On | WhiteBalance: Incandescent

Yes I confirm this problem. Sometimes closing and reopening the lens cover is enough, sometimes I found that playing a few secs of an mp3 solves the problem.
As regards 5.6a I tested it and I think it tends to overexpose pics a little bit when in bright sunny light.
Look at the photo of the swing on a tree: the darker areas of the tree are visible but the seat is overexposed.
I have got the feeling that a more balanced exposition (i.e. a little darker pics like 9.91) can catch more detail so you can have better results by postprocessing pics with PhotoShop.
Macro of 5.6a is very good. |

Just for the record, the video quality on 5.6a "no spot" is great.
And the macro is just perfect.
I've tested it around and later I'll post some photos here.
The only thing I would change would be the nightmode. I'd use the 10.01 nightmode configs.
If I knew how to make it, of course. Lol.
Nevertheless, congratulations you guys. I've been testing your (E_erzan's, Aksd's and Ady's) drivers for some time now, and I can feel the improvements.
Keep up the good work.
See ya.

Hey guys created a post so everyone can post their files in one place instead of having bits of files everywhere. http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=130208
Click here to view my files, including VKP Patches, Slim Font tweaks, menu tweaks, display and camdrivers (updated including the famous 5.6/a version lol )

I have a couple of questions:
(i) How close can a macro shoot be? I tried to shoot a very closeup photo and the camera does try to focus (it has a sound and the box goes green) but wrongly (blurred). I think I am like 1.5cm from the target. Is it too close? Yes, sometimes, it can't focus too. I think I experience it more with vers 5.6a driver.
(ii) Anybody has figured out how to tweak the camdriver (or some other file) so that mxe-60 will always flash when plugged in? My MXE-60 SELDOM flashes, unless it's in TOTALLY dark environment. Otherwise, a slightly lit enviornment will not trigger the flash at all and it's VERY frustrating. I tried to cover up the whole flash (except the front lightbulb part) and still it doesn't flash.... |

Sorry OOT,
@ilabstudios,
I got ur zip file "Improves Sound Quality"...which accoustic folder do you choose?
- Original (low) W800i R1BC002
- The_BEST_acoustic_profile
- W550_acoustic
- W810 (high) W810

It depends what you want to improve, I have only tested the w810 one because I know it works, but when I read on previous posts they say theres no change on the others, def. try the w810 one. It contains two files, farfield_play and farfield_ring basically copy your previous version and replace it with those ones from the w810 and you will notice a vast improvment on the sound, it's much louder and gets ride of the hissing noise.

Are Files "farfield_play.apf" and "farfield_ring.apf" in "The_BEST_acoustic_profile" different from "W810 (high) W810"?
I already copy all files in "The_BEST_acoustic_profile" into accoustic folder should I remove it and change it with files in "W810 (high) W810"?

no they should be the same w810 files in there, just test them out.. I cant be arsed to swap all of them as I dont know what most of the files are representing so I wouldn't be able to make a comparision.
Also could you tell me how the Mega Bass sounds in the WALKMAN? when the volume is at 100%... that's all I'm interesting in really.

i have no idea why you peeps are messing up your sound with w810 files which are identical to w800. the hissing lies in phf files. |

MEGA BASS is sound good in mine...both speaker or handfree.
Test it with song: toxic (Britney Spears) & sexy, naughty, bitchy (Tata Young).

Err, what was this topic about? Ah, yeah, camdrivers.
So, about the camdrivers.
The 5.6a version beats all of the previous camdrivers. It is brighter than 9.90 and faster than 10.01. The macro is perfect. The normal mode is very nice - there is no noise, the pictures are bright and I don't have to use nightmode in daylight pictures.
When taking daylight pictures, I recommend using normal mode, daylight white balance and exposure compensation if the picture gets too bright.
The nightmode is also very nice, it is somewhat faster than in other drivers, ideal for my det-drunk-and-shoot photos
Thanks, e_erzan, for the best driver up to now! |

this is the one, the flashlight for k750 and w800:

So my question again, has anybody figured out how to make the mxe-60 flash at least more frequently than it does now? |
