@nils7; how about we tell you what apps to use & where to find them IF you make an original mini-review 1st   !
Check on the MSDuo Pro that came with your P990i should be some apps there or goto SE site. |

it's using an old firmware (I mean I know there is a newer one out there) but it's not in the device so it crashes like every 5 minutes. I even had troubles charging it via the datacable... Hermione didn't, Lily did so I swapped batteries  .
It works, well it calls and it send and receives sms' but it doesn't record video etc. But I knew that on forehand... I will upload a picture made by the P990i.
The Memory Stick equipped with it was empty BTW.

@nils7 could you post some pictures of the phone itself please? Why doesn't it record video?

I don't know why it doesn't record... it crashes when I try to save it but I uploaded the MSDpro several minutes ago but I saw it did made some vids (didn't watch them yet)...
I made some pics of the M600i now... because we had the P990 several months ago already... got to give them back tomorrow night 
So the M600i has priority ....
Will make some now!

I have over 3000 address books with pics in my 910i. I ll be happy if we can learn whether the 910 personal data such as address book be directly transferable to 990 with the full compatibility.?

If you ask that question to me... I don't know I just use Outlook to sync... while I don't have picture with my contacts I don't know if they transfer! |

There is one think i would like to know.. Is the screen size difference between P990i and M600i very noticable? I mean when you play with one and then with another.. do you notice the difference? (Flip opened on P990i i mean).. |

@nils7, thanks for the pictures. :-) Which do you prefer to use, the p990 or the m600? What apps are not available to use in flip closed? E.g. can we now watch video's with the flip closed? TIA

Well first of all it's not mine P990 but Sony Ericssons.... I used it for a presentation yesterday and I'm stuck with them for the rest of the weekend.... nothing to blame although battery life is 10% in 50 min. drainage!
But afterall it's still not the final firmware so I will try to answer your questions but it might be completely different from the one you might find it in the shops. So all problems will probably be fixed before that!

No it doesn't really bother the screen size although I might consider the M600i's screen a little bit more bright and sharper. But might be different in firmware date or hardware.
Having had the P990i and the M600i first into the open (part from CeBIT) for the public everybody want to have look at the P990.... no one really bothered to play with the M600i but at the stage my p990i is at the moment they were both the same.
Well in the UI the statusbar is different in the M600i menu and the backbutton is in an other position. I didn't tried any other themes (because of the instability of both devices at this moment)
Having played now with both of them... the M600i isn't that bad, you don't really miss the conventional keypad... but than again the QWERTY keypad isn't that great. The M600i really is more like business device for people who don't use the camera at all (probably no one ever makes pictures with a P-serie because it isn't that good) so I don't really miss that part. But is lacks wifi which might be essential to it.

I do not know if I have a final hardware version... it feels solid but the battery cover is really loose. When I slide the p990i over the table the p990i moves but cover will get seperated from the P990i, I do not know if they are going to change it and I also do not know that it occured due to a lots of opening of the battery cover.

Only radio and music are available in this firmware in flipclosed.
Well I have a dual sim which are in both devices but the M600i is turned into flightmode. Might tell enough....

thanks for the info with regards to the test P990i and M600i Can you upload a pic taken by P990i in its entirety, meaning no editing whatsoever. The pic you uploade in earlier post has been downgraded to 800 x 600 resolution. Thanks in advance.
