i sold my r520 for an r600 and lived to regret it. it had so many bugs...and after being replaced 3 times by ericsson, they took pity on me and replaced it with a t39.

i miss my r520. i tried buying it back. the new owner would have none of it haha

Just a question guys,

Got my R520m some month ago and I'm a bit surprized that the keyboard starts losing color already.

I'm really not such a heavy "phoner" but the 'Yes', 'No', 'Left', 'Right' and 'Up/Down' button are already fading away.

An other point is that the sound is really bad from time to time. It's as if something is vibrating. After a little tap on the phone it stops for some time.

Bye,

Tonio

In the UK we are not ableto get spare parts for the R520, I have tried every where as I have three of them, and would like to get some spares just in case I need them. Can you still get spare parts in Sweden as I am coming to Sweden on Friday.

there is still parts available for R520 here in Sweden... but... servicepoints aren't allowed to sell parts for phones, unless the phone is discontinued and the part can be mounted on the phone without needing to disassemble the phone (for example an antenna)...

so if you for example want to have the keypad changed you need to pay the servicepoint to do it... probably cost around £45-50 (~600SEK)

if you are lucky you might find some servicepoint that still has some IAT-10 left in stock... but you probably need to check with several servicepoints... the bigger servicepoints are most likely to have it

Hi guys :-) To the person who says the sound quality of his r520 is bad, check that its not the volume key slider that is vibrating. @alphatag, my keypad is still the black one, still in mint condition, i haven't gotten around to dragging my butt to the nearest service point to get a spare silver keypad yet. Hahaha ... :-) ;-)

A little tip for T39. If you want to get your favorite menu with one push of button, go to menu 7 and put your favorite number 1. Now you can get it only by pushing the left arrow of the menu about 2 seconds!

I supposed the same. But it is most convienient with my Tungsten. It is easy to program the Palm to go to web/wab with one single buttonpush. Now also the BT of T39 is also connected with one push.
