Any chance of Novathor A9600 soc ending up in OLED flagship? I know that 2 cores soc could be a problem marketing that stuff versus 4 cores, but the performance (1080p @ 240 fps) shoud speak for itself.

On topic though, I'm not sure if I want Sony smartphones to have such sharp corners (could be uncomfortable in the pocket). The current Xperias also have a monolithic look, but with minimized rounded corners. They should try to develop different design features without having to go to their Bravia TV design language. The Xperia Tablet or the VAIOs should be looked at before the Bravia HDTVs in my opinion.
Why the Tablet S or the VAIO first?
New tablet S is nice, but I personally think the bezel is way too thick. Design could've been much better. Good try though
VAIO, in build quality, design language they still mostly lag behind Apple or even some Samsung/Asus models which sports metal unibody and minimal exhaust ducts. IOW it still creaks. Plus their overall design language across the different lines are all over the place, imo.. except for a huge VAIO logo.
Xperia S looks awesome we agree. It looked monolithic because it has those "sharp" corners.
Many gadget sites complained about it not considering the design philosophy; but...what do they know about design.
I actually like these semi-sharp corners, because when you hold it, it digs into your hand just slightly for a secure grip.
T/TX still looks nice, but I think nowhere near the S. It kind of looks too generic - that's the worst thing that can happen to the Sony brand. I hope Sony will continue with the bold designs coming from the NXT. That's why I think a Bravia like design would take it to the next level as it would require premium materials, fit and finish to pull off...just think Stanley Kubrick's monolith.
Plus this language can fit on all Sony devices, the 4 screen mantra.

AFAIK the A/L9600 support 1080p@120 not 240... but it's already more than the 60fps that the next Quad Krait can handle...
Any way, the fps and resolution the SoC support must be combined with a sensor that can output... if the SoC even support 1080p @10Kfps you wont have any benefit of this speed if the sensor only gives you 1080p @30fps

Sony Exmor RS sensors are capable of 1080p @60fps and a few Exmor R sensors as well |

Those link is the announcement of Xperia TX, V and J together with some older Xperia devices in VN. It is held in an Electronic Show in Hanoi, Vietnam
Sony Vietnam just confirmed that the new Xperia TX, V and J will be sold within months of announcement
Thats all he want to show us
Apparently the site he intent to show us has some difficulty with the server (I guess ) |

Noise looks pretty low, so I guess that's a good thing right?

@DACHA Was it taken at 2mp...??? If so, it's great for that resolution...
And can the chipset used in Odin/Yuga support 1080p@60fps or we'll have to wait for Q3/Q4 device to support it...???

You are right about 120 fps, but anyway I really dont care of being able to shoot videos beyond 60 fps, I was merely refering to the raw power of that soc. Lack of that soc could really be a dealbraker in this case, since I believe I would go with the brand that provides it. |

According to the EXIF data it seems that the sensor is going to be either :
-the 1/4 8mpx EXMOR RS : the aperture is "only" F2.4 and the 1/3.2 EXMOR RS is gonna be paired with a F2.2 one according to sony.net
-or the same unit that we have today on the Xperia T
Considering that:
-A 1/4 Exmor Rs won't be any better than the 1/3.2 exmor r
-a decrease in the megapixels would feel like a downgrade compared to the Xperia T/S/V and all
that phone is definitely going to have the same camera as the Xperia T
EDIT : i know that the aperture has nothing to do with the sensor, all i'm saying is that the lens that's going to be shipped with that sensor isn't a F2.4 one.

Unfortunately, the source is an unofficial fan page on G+ for the Galaxy Nexus, the page is not by Google themselves.
