I found myself that K800i screen and camera is definitely better. |

Yes, better than N73 of course.
I know it's a lame comparison, but after what so called a year just seeing comparison in boards and the internet, today I can compare them myself since I just bought N73, accompanying my earlier K800i.
Screen comparison. OMG.. it's 10 out of 10 for K800i winning.
The red tone, blue tone, green tone, yellow tone, white point, purple tone, magenta tone, cyan tone from K800i is superb. N73 can even go anywhere close. The one and only advantage from N73 is the black point. The black color in N73 screen is superb.
N73 white is a bit yellowish. Its red and purple is a bit off. Its green not as sweet as K800i green tone. Still K800i has a very good white balance.
Anyway, overall brightness (when set 100%) is better in K800i. Slightly better. Remember that I have the newest version of both phones.
Contrast is slightly higher in K800i. Saturation is better in K800i (see the Lech, beer bottle pic; N73's saturation is quite rough). And sharpness is definitely better in K800i (2.0" vs 2.4", higher pixel density in K800i, higher detailed pic).
Viewing left-right angle is better in K800i, while top-bottom angle is better in N73. Behaviour in outdoor is better in K800i. It's the real winner.
from the above pics, we see that N73 is sharper than K800i. It's not true. K800i is sharper. The unsharp feel of K800i is becaused of the high contrast and high brightness K800i screen has so that my digital camera couldn't capture it very well (as sharp as my digicam captured N73 screen).
However.. when I decrease the exposure value of my digicam, it can capture it better. But in result, the N73 screen looks much dimmer than before..
Please always remind yourself that K800i has 1.5 times higher pixel density than N73. That's obviously sharper.

k800 resolution is better then n73, but look at the first pic, n73 is way more clear, when u focus on the image itself

It's probably just the pictures, but it looks from them that the N73's screen has more detail showing on them, and that there is too much colour and contrast on the K800i's screen?
May just be the pics as I say, as the screen quality on my K800i/W850i is excellent |

I was surprise of N73 viewfinder. It's ugly. It's very washed out and unclear.
Still the image postprocessing of N73 is very good to create such good pics. Still N73 is not that "all-round". It's better in some environment but becomes very ugly in other conditons. K800i is more all-round player. It's good in every condition.
Still wanna remind you that I have the latest firmware and hardware of both phones.
The macro shot of N73 is very good. Very sharp. K800i is also sharp anyway. But N73 has advantage since it's more anti-blur than K800i in rather low light condition, so it's easier to take such macro shots with N73 than with K800i. still.. K800i provides better color reproduction, in both exposure and contrast.
Top pics are always K800i's. The bottom ones are N73's. All images are resized (only) in Photoshop CS to the size of 800x600 pixel. It's bandwidth thing.
both macros are excellent!
i don't why N73 becomes so washed out in the incandescent mixed fluorescent lightings..

When it's more grainy on K800i pics, it's also sharper and better details on them.

Sony Ericsson loves brown. Nokia loves yellow. LOL.
See the objects in the background. You can find some differences.
here i am. heheh. still.. K800i provides better background images.
The room was totally dark. I was impressed of what N73 LED flash can do. It's stronger than I expect from a single LED flash. Still not a contender for K800i's Xenon flash.
Xenon flash has its own disadvantage. When used in short distance shot, it will wash away many details. When I had black K800i (with the first version of firmware), I can make the pic darker by simply decreasing the EV, so the flash wouldn't wash away too many details (in scene mode: Portrait). I can't do this anymore with this silver K800i with the latest firmware.
N73 wins this time. Very sharp. Good colors. Great details.
Tomorrow I'll post some outdoor pics. I hope it won't be raining.

About the detail on the screen, it's not that. Obviously K800i is sharper, it's 2.0". It's just my digicam that cannot capture very well a strongly bright object. K800i screen is brighter, that's why it looks oversaturated on the pic coz the camera EV was not decreased when taking the pics, and it was easier to blur on capturing K800i screen. Had I decrease the EV, both would look sharp, but N73'd look very washed out..
N73 screen isn't as detailed as K800i screen.

No, no. It's just the pics. The Exposure Value when taking the pic was set too high. That's K800i screen became over exposure on the pic. OE would reduce "the sharp look". In fact, K800i shows more details. That's really obvious.
Mmm... it's like you take a shot of a very bright lamp, the light will be spreaded out in the pic, resulting the "unsharp look".

Clever.
Yes, the contrast of K800i screen is so high, resulting an OE image in the pic when taken with a compact digicam like mine, resulting less sharp look in K800i screen.

Indeed.
Here I changed my digicam EV. It's detailed. But in result, it won't look as bright as the pics above. It's just a matter of digicam settings.

@aje - What's WRONG with this page I can't see any image ! ! ! Well anyways . . . it's really a close fight netween the Nokia N73 and The K800 camfones (3 MP) . . . but at the end, I guess the N73 has a slighter edge over the K800.
