Last night i was really drunk and i dropped my phone down the toilet. At first the phone was going crazy. I'd press one button then it'd go onto so many different things. So i thought my phone was done. I tried to charge it and it just wouldnt charge. But then this morning i used it and it works! It charges and everything. Hard core phone |

Well you should turn it off and let it dry completely first. But hey, you are too drunk (but sober enough to test the phone)
Hopefully nothing is wrong! Is that ammoniac or plain water? cheers! |

Don't be surprised if it dies in a couple of days. I used to have a bad habit of juggling my phone from one hand to the other before I went to the toilet. That is, until the day I missed and my old K508i did a foward half-twist dive into the toilet. After a good dry out it seemed to work fine for a couple of days. Then the sound stopped working and other gremlins snuck in until the phone was unusable. When I opened the phone you could see the corrosion on the board. That was 1.5 years ago. Funny thing is - I was totally honest with the my provider (Optus is Australia) and they gave me an early out of my contract and an upgrade to my current w800. |

i dont think it will last because my friend dipped his k800 into the swimming pool like 2 weeks ago and we sold it to one shop for a trade to a another brand new phone..well you shouldnt have switched on your phone for about 24-48 hours...w/o that camera button i doubt you can still sell it .. |

I'd turn it off and take the battery out and leave it to dry for a good couple of days, take it apart too if you have the skill.
You'll probably find the phone will work for a few days then corrosion will set in and you'll start to have problems. Leaving the battery in will speed up the corrosion process, can't remember the reason think it's something to do with the current!
Good luck!

one of my customers dropped an XDA mini ii in the pool, and it still works almost perfectly, though the usb data transfer ist kaput. It's now several months later. She gave it to me because it was useless to her without usb sync. I use bluetooth sync, and it still charges, so I'm stoked!

Good to hear it works but still take the battery out, put it in a small plastic bag (freezer bag) along with some rice, silica gel, activated carbon and stuff like that to let it absorb the moisture for a few days.
More info here.

Here is how to use the 00 for phone enthusiasts. Be away and face away from the john and drop your pants to your ankles. Then back up slowly and do your business. After you are done, get up and move away 1/2 meter. Pull your pants up and do a 180. Then check your pocket for your phone and approach. Then flush.
