I took my K750i back because:
a) All it had over the K700i was memory expansion and a better camera. Sure, the screen was better but when did that help me pass my exams, or get a lush girlfriend
b) It squeaked like hell. Gah, it gave me nightmares. In the end i got so sick of it i took it back to the CPW and demanded they go against their terms and conditions and give me my money back. It took about an hour of arguing and fiddling with the phone to get them to do so.
I payed 250 pounds for a phone that was badly packaged (unlike the moto v3), that squeaked, that rattled, that had possibly the worst back cover design i have ever seen and that wasnt even sealed! When i got the phone the box had been clearly opened and the screen protector wasn't on. So yes, CPW sort your damned selves out, and why can't sony ericsson make a beautiful little aluminium phone with nice features! Its not hard!
I feel like another flame against me coming on but I dont care. Who else is sick of being RIPPED OFF by Sony Ericsson. I went back to a K700i in the end, 130 pounds cheaper! 130 POUNDS CHEAPER!!! So by the time the K750 EVENTUALLY came out the K700 was less than half the price! I bought an Mp3 player and digital camera with the change! I had a neat lil phone, a lush camera and a very high quality Sony mp3 player all for the price of that rip off phone.
Lets moan guys, speak out all those who are sick of SE!

I haven't found that with my K750. The keypad is not as quiet as some phones I agree, but it doesn't impact on my enjoyment of the phone. As far as I can tell the keypad is actually way less clicky than my K700....
I find the keypad action precise and consistant. |

Its mainly the back cover. And the joystick was failing after a day? Why is everyone so patriotic. Its like americans and their presidency, people mess things up and SE have. |

I'm also sick to death of my squeaky k750i. Its driving me nuts !! I feel like i want to put super glue on the squeaky part.... I'm with you on this one. I really wish they'd improve on their build quality. Its not the keypad that is squeaky but the casing, especially the bottom right hand side of the screen. If not for the superb camera of this phone, i would have bought the V3 instead. Now THAT is a quality phone. :-]

Joysticks are terrible on the SE phones, which is one reason I love the S700i so much, no crappy joystick!!! |

if they did pack the phone ala the v3 then the packaging would be included somewhere in the cost of the handset thus making it more expensive.
having said that i can agree that packaging of most mobile phone could be better thought out. esp when your paying the sort of cash you mentioned.
sounds as thought you got a decent deal in the end with a mp3 player camera and a k700 sometimes its better to buy masters of the trade than a jack of all trades |

the sliding camera cover LOOKS cheap and IS cheap. and the speaker grilles at the back looks like someone designed the phone and forgot them grilles only to put them back in there at the last minute without thought.
on the front, the k750 is acceptable in looks but the back? stupid. |

@Vanquish
I must say that I totally agree with you. The phone is by far the most worst in quality from SE. Yet I find it a must have, so I kept it... it's really sad that they couldn't have made this great phone in a better quality.

I can't believe this thread...for months the K750 has been the only phone discussed on Esato...this is the first time I'm hearing about a creaky battery cover. What are all the people who are happy with the phone saying about this problem? I still love my precious so there's no way I'm changing phones.

A Ripley's Moment!!! Strange but true... If this is the case, as these members are saying, what say the Death To All Other Manufacturers Brigade???

@brix25
there have been quite a few threads like this one about the creaking and build quality on K750/w800 although I can't say I have noticed much of this one mine and am quite content, although I'll be passing mine to my daughter as soon as my next windows mobile phone arrives
anyway, for those interested...
SE W800i Build Quality
SE ranks poorly in reliability/quality
W800i - The first 5 minutes
Is is just me or is the K750i a damned flimsy phone! (this one raised by Vanquish also)
Damn K750i creaking

@Masseur, out of interest' sake, how old is your daughter, and at which age do you consider it appropriate to allow a youngster a phone? My daughter's 5 and thus far hasn't said a word about wanting one, not that i'd give her one at that age, but what would be appropriate, in your opinion?
