Hi,
I have just had to perform a master reset on my P800 and the tab in the control panel where you put in the service centre number is greyed out and cannot be changed thus stopping me from sending texts. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? It keeps on flashing up an information box with the text "not found" in it as well. Maybe flashing the firmware will fix this? Any ideas?

Try flashing the software or call your phone service provider and ask if they can somehow send you a message which "installs" the number for you. I'd go for flashing though.
Anyone else who has any ideas about this?

I've tried phoning vodafone customer service who say they can't send settings ota and referred me to the SE web site but that only does mms wap and email settings. Will try and get it flashed.

This may not work but try doing a Master reset again. Might save you a trip to the service centre. Its kinda wired that it dosen't allow you to input the number in that field.

@tycho
Is your problem solved?
I talked to a friend who works in Vodafone CS and he told me that they could send the SMS centre address by auto setup message to your phone. So its worth giving them another call and this time you will reach some one who know something.
