I love my P800. But it really really annoyed me today. To stop anyone locking this forum, maybe people could post their little anoyments with the P800. And we could discuss... Anyway
1) i thought. those blasted headphones that i got with the phone always get tangled up.so why dont i buy some nice new sony (not se) headphones with a case and volume control. cost 20 pound. They dont work because the hole is not standard hedphones, its only for se ones you get with the phone .that is so bloody anoying. i mean, u automatically assume, when you look at the hole that any would fit. stupid bloody damned stupid thing. and i cannot take them back becase of 'hygeine'.
2) vrally is stupid and most p800 games are because you have to tap around with the bloody stylus and i always crash.
so, who else is pised off with the best phone - p800?

you must have baught a 3.5mm headphone which they cant fit to the p800. What you need to do is buy a converter... which is very cheap... maybe go to a local store and find one... its something like this
found on this website http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=www.mars-cam.com/cable/general/c199.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.mars-cam.com/cable/general/me_p17.html&h=50&w=205&prev=/images%3Fq%3D3.5%2Bmm%2Bto%2B2.5%2Bmm%2Bjack%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8
of course there are many shapes.. ytou plyg this deviceo to the p800 and the headphones to the converter and you are done
hope it helped

@daredeviluk, i sell these adaptors, you just plug your headphone (larger size) jack into it, it is also a stereo one so no worries.
Its called a 2.5 male/3.5 female stereo jack adaptor, i keep a few in stock, you can use it for playing MP3's in your car & also put your phone audio through your laptop/PC.
They are £2.99 each + £1 P&P (P&P stays the same if you order up to four)
i have sold many to Esato members,
i am in UK, PM me or send SMS 07980482314
Delivery normally 2 days after i recieve cash/cleared cheque.

@daredeviluk
I've got an answer on your headphone problem.
1.Go in to a phone shop.
2. Buy Nokia headset with volume controll for the 3210 or 3230.
3. ( Bonus ) Its sheaper than SE's headphones, and it's not marked with " NOKIA " on it, so you don't have to be ashamed for wearing a NOKIA headset.
I use it. Works like a sharm.
I only use SE headset for movies and MP3's.
Good luck.

I think you'll find 2.5mm is the standard for most mobile phones, so it's hardly a fault of SE, especially when they supply a nice pair of SE branded headphones
I bought my adapter for 79p from Maplins (and it's definitely the stereo version) so I could listen to my P900 in the car through a cassette adapter, Maplins was on the way to where I was going to walk the dog so I didn't even have to waste any money travelling to them
I do admit the P900 is not great for gaming, although I was well aware of this before I bought it and it doesn't really bother me. Although having said that, on another forum someone mentioned that the Sims was being released for the N-gage, I think this would be a superb game to take advantage of the P800/P900's touch screen, plus I think it's a good game for a mobile phone, I couldn't be bothered with it on the PC, but it would be cool just at various points in the day being able to check on my sims and see how they are doing when I was bored.

Pachy..
are you selling the pc-mobile ones? http://www.pc-mobile.net/sp800.htm
Just wondering becuase I know that those are like a 2.5mm headset jack to a normal stereo 3.5mm jack, which means they have the extra microphone part on the jack to stop it shorting out, even though there is no microphone. I know lots of adapters that could short out your microphone jack as they are designed for 2.5mm plugs for things other than headsets... Ie. the maplin one's etc etc aren't good for your phone.
please let me know..
Daz.
