Here is the response I received from SE re the P900. Basically another disappointment from Sony Ericsson who have done very little to rectify the shortcomings of the P800. Communicorder is a gimmick, I need a business phone.
"Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson Customer Care Center.
-Sony Ericsson P900 does not support fax application.
- Sony Ericsson P900 is based on P800 platform; it has the same
Bluetooth Headset profile, to work with Bluetooth headset.
Headset profile is the basic profile for voice commnication while
Handfree profile is a plus profile to have for information communincation
like CLI, Last Dial data.
At the bottom most, the BMW BT carkit will be able to work with our
P800 at least for voice communication if both have BT headset profile. It
will not have data info where the P800 do not have BT Handfree profile.
Just remember P800 have BT Headset profile but does not have BT
Handfree profile.
BT Headset profile is to work with BT headset, eg. our HBH-60 and our
BT carkit HCB-30, it also work with other brand of BT headset with
Headset profile.
While BT Handfree profile, is needed to work with other better BT
headset, eg. our HBH-200, which have Handfree profile to provide CLI and
last dialled number from the phone.
If the BMW BT carkit have Headset profile and Handfree profile, then it
will at least work for the voice part while there will be no data info
cummincation."
